Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros has performed the album with featuring The Wolfpack, a string and brass quintet, pedal steel player Barry Sless, and special guests Tyler Childers and Brittney Spencer. One of those performances will be released early next year in a special edition of Ace that also includes a remastered new mix of the original album.

The video (directed by Ludovic Sauvage) complements the track’s nocturnal longing, with a shadowy, blu-lit dal Forno superimposed over a shot of blooming, pale pink tulips with a starkly contrasting black backdrop; appearing like a nighttime singing apparition, over a precise, driving bass and atmospheric synths that twinkle, buzz, and ring out.

Brothertiger, the musical project of singer, songwriter, and producer John Jagos, has announced his fifth studio album, Brothertiger. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Jon Markson (Drug Church, Cathedral Bells, Can’t Swim), the self-titled album is previewed with the new single/video “Be True.” Plus, check out upcoming tour dates!

'Turn Off This Song (Before It Takes Your Soul)' opens with a groovy bassline with fuzzy vocals that meld into powerful, dark societal commentary, critiquing everything from capitalism, to the distrust of media, to the hyper-surveilled, hyper-policed place the U.S. has become. The accompanying music video was directed by Madison McConnell.

The single from Wabanaki composer, bandleader, and bassist, Mali Obomsawin, is out now. “Wawasint8da” channels a 17th century Jesuit hymn from the Wabanaki through the lens of jazz improvisation, fractured brass and colliding choral arrangements. Their work lays at the intersections of Native adaptation, Western colonialism, jazz, and tradition.

The band also released an official performance video filmed at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The song was written by frontman William Fussell and Honey Harper co-founder and keyboardist Alana Pagnutti, who took a far greater role in songwriting following their 2020 debut album Starmaker.

Whitmer Thomas releases a video for “Stick Around,” the fourth and final single from his forthcoming Jay Som-produced album The Older I Get The Funnier I Was. The track showcases Thomas’ dexterity as a songwriter, which is in full display on The Older I Get The Funnier I Was, conjuring Bright Eyes alongside the storytelling of John Prine.

The mini-album is all new material featuring '93', '36' and '696.' Both '93696' and 'संसार' tease the group's new direction, as well as remind us of the power of this acclaimed band of guitarist and vocalist Ravenna Hunt-Hendrix, guitarist Mario Miron, bassist Tia Vincent-Clark and drummer Leo Didkovsky. 

Ging, the solo project of the artist formerly known as Frank Dukes, shares a new song, “Never Want To Leave.' The track is taken from Ging’s debut album We’re Here, My Dear. “Never Want To Leave” follows the recently shared “Miracles,” “Dear Boy” and “Can You See Me.”

Rayland Baxter has released his new single “Rubberband Man,” off his forthcoming album, If I Were A Butterfly out November 4th on ATO. The track is an ode to Thunder Sound, where Baxter recorded the majority of his new album. Originally a rubber band factory, the Kentucky recording studio still has remnants of its former life.

Nelson based folk-roots singer-songwriter, Maddie Storvold reveals details of her third studio album, Sunstorm, and shares the first single and video- “Long Time Gone”. Sunstorm is set for release early 2023. Maddie is heading off on a 25- date tour of Alberta, BC and SK this October and November. Full tour details below.
