Hooveriii have announced a February tour of the U.S. in support of their newest album A Round of Applause (The Reverberation Appreciation Society). The dates kick off at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on February 10 and conclude on February 18 in Troy, NY.  Along the way they will make stops in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Boston.

Mats Gustafsson is a world-renowned horn player who has pushed the evolution of improvised music with his own unique voice. Joachim Nordwall is a cornerstone of the Swedish musical underground.

The title track “Hadal” is a brooding, yet demonstrative offering inspired by the Hadal Zone, the deepest and darkest ocean trench on earth. The name Hadal is Atlas Maior’s metaphor for post-pandemic artistic perseverance within a rapidly changing global context.

Although Gabriel now resides in Los Angeles, his Brazilian heritage and roots are pivotal to his musicianship, thanks to his upbringing in rural Brazil, where he was inspired to make music by his poet mother and his radio DJ dad, who introduced him to the music of artists like Joao Gilberto. Devon Church has announced his new album Strange Strangers, and shared a video for lead single “Ephemera”. While Church’s previous group Exitmusic utilized widescreen atmospherics in service of tense dream pop, his solo endeavor places his earthy baritone front and center over world weary folk.

Tim Hecker will also be performing a special show in the Austin Central Presbyterian Church with Justin Broadrick of Godflesh’s ambient project Final opening. There will also be a showcase co-presented with dark experimental label The Flenser with artists such as Have a Nice Life, Chat Pile, Planning for Burial, and more.

The tour follows on the heels of a string of European dates that begin in February, running through March, including sixteen shows all around the UK. The band have now announced their first tour in support of the LP. The dates kick off on March 23 in Hamden, CT and conclude in Providence, RI on April 6.
