Paper Bee collaborated on crafting Thaw, Freeze, Thaw with producer Kyle Gilbride (Swearin’, Waxahatchee) while living together as housemates through the COVID-19 quarantine. The record presents a story about queer love, heartbreak, and belonging, and serves as a final pre-HRT document of songwriter Nick Berger’s soprano voice. 

Murray A. Lightburn, the longtime frontman of Montreal’s acclaimed The Dears, returns with his deeply personal new solo album, Once Upon A Time In Montreal, available digitally, along with a vinyl edition available online and in stores via Dangerbird Records. Recorded through a unique residency with Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL, O’Donovan wrote and recorded 2022’s Age Of Apathy on-site at their studio with GRAMMY-nominated engineer Darren Schneider while collaborating entirely remotely with producer Joe Henry (Bonnie Raitt, Rhiannon Giddens).

Alan Menken has revealed more information on the new songs that he and Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote for the upcoming Little Mermaid film. Menken confirmed that there were four new songs written for Prince Eric, Sebastian, Scuttle, and King Triton.
