Circle Theatre's 30th Anniversary Season continues with Becky's New Car, a new play by renowned playwright Steven Dietz. When Becky's New Car first premiered in 2008, Variety claimed that it 'takes the audience on a smart, comic cruise through the perils of middle-aged longing and regret.' In 2009, it was one of six finalists for the prestigious Steinberg New Play Award given by the American Theatre Critics Association. Preview performances are Thursday, July 28; Friday, July 29; and Saturday, July 30 (matinee). A concert honoring the life and career of the late David Gurland has been scheduled for this coming Monday. The event, DAVID GURLAND: A Celebration, will take place Monday, July 11th, at 7:00 PM in the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre at 111 West 46th Street. The concert, originally by invitation only, will now have a limited number of tickets available to the public.
