Performances take place at the Cutler Majestic Theater in Boston on March 18 (press opening), March 20, March 22, and March 25.

S. Gilbert repertoire, last produced in the Puget Sound region by the Northwest Savoyards in 1997. Typical of Gilbert and Sullivan's absurdist work, it is filled with the hilarious adventures of villains turned heroes, heroes turned villains, helpless maidens, and professional bridesmaids. Steampunk is a science fiction themed movement that gained prominence in the late 1980s. Steampunk builds on the futuristic Victorian Era visions, driven by the works of Jules Verne and H.G. Wells and their steam powered contraptions and creates an alternative mechanistic reality utilizing fashion, culture, music and art.
