Theatre by the Sea has announced its summer 2012 season. The season includes FOREVER PLAID, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 9 TO 5, and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.

The Actor's Theatre of Charlotte will present a two night staged reading of Dustin Lance Black's new play 8 on April 22nd and 23rd.

Theatre Charlotte will present its 24 HOUR THEATRE PROJECT on April 21st. Auditions will take place at 9 a.m. and the show will take place at 8 p.m.

The Albuquerque Little Theatre will present XANADU from April 6th through 29th. XANADU features a book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne & John Farrar.

RING OF FIRE: THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH will play the Des Moines Community Playhouse from Mar. 30-Apr. 22, 2012. RING OF FIRE was created by Richard Maltby, Jr., conceived by William Meade, and features orchestrations by Steven Bishop & Jeff Lisenby

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL will play at the Palace Theatre on April 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m.

The Arizona Broadway Theatre has announced its upcoming 2012-2013 season. The season includes OKLAHOMA!, ANNIE, HELLO DOLLY, BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, 9 TO 5, INTO THE WOODS, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, and THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL.

The Sioux Empire Community Theatre will present Stephen Sondheim and James Wheeler's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET from May 4th through 20th. The production will be directed by Larry B. Etten.

The Ottawa Little Theatre will present DANGEROUS LIAISONS, a drama by Christopher Hampton and directed by Geoff Gruson from June 5th - 23rd with a matinee on June 17th.

The Ottawa Little Theatre presents BEYOND A JOKE, a farce by Derek Benfield. The show is directed by Dorothy Gardner and runs from May 1st - 19th with a matinee on May 13th.

The Wilmington Drama League presents Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by Steve Martin and directed by Jean Eggen from March 16 - 31, 2012.

Renowned violinist Gil Shaham joins Music Director Jacques Lacombe and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) for "Shaham & Lacombe," a concert program the Orchestra will present in Newark, New Brunswick and Morristown April 27-29. Shaham and the NJSO will give the world premiere of Richard Danielpour's Kaddish for Violin and Orchestra; Shaham also performs Berg's Violin Concerto, "To the Memory of an Angel." The program also includes Prokofiev's Symphony No. 3, for which the composer adapted music from his opera The Fiery Angel, and Mozart's Masonic Funeral Music.

"Real Time" comedian and political commentator Bill Maher brings his trademark humor back to The Orleans Showroom May 5 and 6.

Los Angeles, the music capital of the world, kicks it up a notch thanks to the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) and its installation of "Play Me, I'm Yours," originated by British artist Luke Jerram. An unprecedented large-scale art installation, LACO's "Play Me, I'm Yours" features an astounding 30 vividly decorated pianos installed in high-traffic public neighborhoods across the Southland to bring music and creativity to the region for three weeks from April 12 to May 3, 2012.

The Chicago premiere of Will Reynolds' The Greenwood Tree and a unique program of stylistically diverse jazz and contemporary music groups will be featured as Roosevelt's Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) presents Vivid 2012 at 7:30 p.m. April 10 at the Auditorium Theatre.

The Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Project for New Plays on Science and Technology will tackle Post-Concussion Syndrome when it presents the world premiere of 27-year-old playwright Patrick Link's Headstrong. The play, directed by Ensemble Studio Theatre Artistic Director William Carden, begins previews April 18 for an opening April 30 at The Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street.

This April, JACQUES BREL RETURNS will continue shows at The Triad with performances on April 11th at 7pm and April 25th at 7pm. Both April shows will celebrate the 83rd birthday of the late Jacques Brel, which is on Sunday, April 8th.
