Performance Network Theatre announces its production of the musical, 'Little Shop of Horrors' with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. 'Little Shop of Horrors' will begin April 1st and run through May 9th, 2010. This zany comedy stars Broadway veteran Naz Edwards ('Souvenir'), Jason Richards ('The Fantasticks'), Aaron Moore ('The Fantasticks'), BJ Love ('Christmas Carol'd') and Courtney Myers. It is directed by Performance Network Executive Director, Carla Milarch ('The Fantasticks,' 'The Baker's Wife'), with musical direction by R. MacKenzie Lewis.

Libby Appel, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Emerita, will receive the Stephen and Christine Schwarzman Legacy Award for Excellence in Theater as part of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

On Monday, March 29, singer/vocal coach/dancer/model/internet sensation Miranda Sings brought her dazzling act to the Broadway at Birdland stage once again. The final program of this season's Very Young People's Concerts, geared to children ages 3 to 6, will take place Sunday, May 9, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and Monday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Merkin Concert Hall, 129 West 67th Street. This concert will explore 'forte and piano,' featuring the 'Summer' concerto from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons as part of the season's theme, 'Vivaldi and Friends.' Associate Principal Violist Rebecca Young is the host; Dorian Rence, also a violist with the Philharmonic, is the writer and narrator of stories about Philippe the Penguin, a character created for the series; and Marion Schoevaert is the illustrator.

On Wednesday, March 31, 2010, Brooklyn Recreation's Afterschool Program and the World Cares Center come together to bring you the Iron Skillet Cook Off Jr., a culinary competition in which members of New York's Bravest will team up with Parks' Afterschool participants to test their skills in the kitchen. The event will take place at new York City College of Technology from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
