Marieke van den Wall Bake

Marieke van den Wall Bake

After graduating as an all-round performing artist and teacher from LMIPA in Amsterdam, Marieke van den Wall Bake has appeared on television, at events and theaters. Passionate about the arts, she has taught students all over the world, from the Netherlands to Ireland and rural India, aiming to co-create and unlock the full potential of her pupils. Whilst working in the field of arts, Marieke continued her education. In 2011, she received her university degree in Cultural Anthropology and Social Development, giving her the complimentary skills to work behind the scenes, analyze situations critically, and interview people to uncover what is beneath the surface. Through her work in rural Africa, she earned a spot on the TEDx stage in 2014. Understanding the need for innovation and different perspectives, Marieke decided to devote her time to TEDx, and became co-organizer and speakers lead for the first TEDxMonteCarlo in 2016, and continued her commitment since as TEDxMonteCarlo’s Event Manager. Writing for Broadway World allows Marieke to harness and express her diverse professional background, and gives her the opportunity to portray various views on theatre pieces: not only from the perspective of a performance enthusiast and critic, but also from the insider’s view of being a performer and event manager. Marieke currently lives in Monaco, still performing from time to time whilst working on her second book, and is founder of "Co-creation" and "Think Tank Monaco".
