This weekend's holdover performances of BEEHIVE! The 60's Musical! filled up so quickly we had more than 100 folks wait listed for both the Saturday and Sunday performances. Sooooooooooo, just this afternoon, we quickly lined up the cast & crew & band to do ONE FINAL EXTRA SHOW this MONDAY, November 8th at 8pm. And then, that-that-that's all folks--the big wigs have got to go back into the boxes and back to the rental warehouses for Aquanet repair jobs!

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced nominations for the 2009-2010 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening to an enthusiastic crowd of patrons and theatre industry artists. Guest announcers LaLa Cochran, Bart Hansard, and Anthony Rodriquez joined Suzi Awards Executive Director Deadra Moore in sharing the list of Nominees while playfully riffing on the 2009/2010 Atlanta theatre season.

Santa Claus Is Coming Out, a theatrical mock-u-mentary by Jeffrey Solomon, reveals the secret romantic life of the beloved childhood icon and the scandal that rocks the world when the truth leaks out.

This limited engagement, multimedia musical is an epic tale of the greatest story ever told, spanning over three decades of history. Written by Shenandoah Valley native Colt Nutter, this original script is a Christmas tale brought to life with elaborate costumes and makeup, giant rolling sets, live animals, and a musical compilation like none other. The realism is further enhanced by a giant projection screen that is built into the system.

After a sold out first show, composer/lyricist Scott Even Davis will perform another evening of his music on Monday November 22nd, at Don't Tell Mama's at 9:30pm.

According to PR-USA.net, auditions for New Line Theatre's production of Bare, the pop opera, will be held on two successive Monday nights, March 14 and 21, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at the Washington University South Campus, 6501 Clayton Road (formerly CBC High School), just east of Big Bend, in the second floor theatre.

FREUD'S LAST SESSION, the new hit play by Mark St. Germain, will host a special post-performance discussion this Sunday, November 7th led by famed author and Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Armand M. Nicholi, Jr., whose bestselling book The Question of God served as the inspiration for Germain's celebrated play. Dr. Nicholi will be joined in Sunday's onstage event by Mark St. Germain as well as the show's stars, Mark H. Dold (C.S. Lewis) and Martin Rayner (Sigmund Freud). They will also conduct a Q & A session with the audience.
