convergence-continuum, concludes its 2010 Season at the Liminis theatre with the world premiere of APORKALYPSE! - our not-for-the- kiddies holiday show by Cleveland playwright and con-con company member Chris Johnston. Christmas, Marines AWOL from Iraq, a Persian love goddess and corporate American agri- business all collide down at Pawpaw's pig farm. And since it's the holiday season, there's some singing and accordion playing, too. For the three-week run, we've added 7 pm Sunday performances in addition to our usual Thu-Sat 8 pm shows.

The Broadway Experience is an international musical theatre program designed to create triple threat performers. Now running both a three day winter intensive and a two week summer program, students will undergo an intense study of dance, voice and acting along with a major performance opportunity with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers. Pat Halloran, who this summer put Memphis' name in lights on Broadway and for 30 years has added luster to one of Memphis brightest jewels, The Orpheum Theatre, was honored with a star on The Orpheum's Sidewalk of Stars.

The nonprofit Teemu Selanne Youth Sports Foundation (TSYSF) recently announced the Teemu Selanne Celebrity Classic, which is a celebrity poker tournament sponsored by Power Balance, Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Montage Laguna Beach, followed by a celebrity golf tournament, Monday, Nov. 22, at the Coto de Caza Golf Course, with proceeds benefitting TSYSF.
