For the 2008-09 Season, the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) has conjured up an enchanting new fall series exposing the origins of magic, mysticism and the paranormal, headlined by the one and only Ricky Jay. 'Abracadabra' will feature top scholars, artists, writers, and performers, and focus on serious superstitions, friendly monsters, enduring spirituality, tradition and more.

Cabrillo Music Theatre of Thousand Oaks, Calif proudly kicks off the new 2008-2009 season by announcing that Deborah Gibson will star in Rodgers & Hammerstein's classic, 'The King and I'. Cabrillo Music Theatre's Artistic Director Lewis Wilkenfeld will direct, while Darryl Archibald will serve as Musical Director and Conductor. The production will feature the original Jerome Robbins choreography of the 'Small House of Uncle Thomas' Ballet, recreated by Irene Cho, who performed the piece under Robbins' supervision in 'The King and I' and 'Jerome Robbins' Broadway'.

The Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills, 8440 Wilshire Boulevard; Beverly Hills, CA 90211, will open its doors to the general public on Sunday, September 21, 2008, after being closed for several months for completion of Phase I of the historic venue's Revitalization Project. Corky Hale Productions will present a star-studded musical event, entitled, 'It's Magic! A Tribute to Sammy Cahn' celebrating the life and lyrics of one of Hollywood's greatest Academy Awardâ-winning songwriters.

The Living Theatre will begin its 2008-2009 season with the limited run of Judith Malina and Hanon Reznikov's 'Eureka!', based on an Edgar Allen Poe essay about the origin of the Universe. Previews begin on Saturday, September 27, 2008 and will officially open on Wednesday, October 1. The production is directed by Judith Malina and features an original score by Patrick Grant.

On September 13, 14 & 16, Portland's Nomadic Theatre Co brings its hilarious and poignant character-driven clown show 'Running Into Walls' to the Brick Theater for the New York Clown Theatre Festival. In it, physical comedy, trombone medleys, pantomime ninja fighting, bonsai cultivation, and flamenco come together in one raucous story whose hapless heroines tackle these difficult questions.

Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company announces extension performances of its critically acclaimed production of Gore Vidal's 'The Best Man'. Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross helms this seminal political nail-biter starring Tim Kniffin, Charles Shaw Robinson, and Charles Dean, and featuring Elizabeth Benedict, Michael Cassidy, Jackson Davis, Deb Fink, Michael Patrick Gaffney, and Emilie Talbot. 'The Best Man' plays now through September 28, with added performances on September 9, 16, and 23 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley.

Eric Millegan, of Fox's hit TV show 'Bones', who has been seen on Broadway in 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and has starred as Harold in Papermill's 'Harold and Maude: The Musical', brings his hit cabaret show to New York for one-night-only at Don't Tell Mama, September 15th at 9:15pm.
