Next summer Auburn, NY will be the setting for the first Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival season. The season will include productions at three separate venues: The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Auburn Public Theater, and the new Theater Mack, which will be housed in the recently renovated Carriage House located on the grounds of the Cayuga Museum.

From Oct. 20 through Nov. 13, Miracle Theatre Group will display an exhibit of ofrendas (altars) created by local Latino artists in celebration of Día de los muertos (Day of the Dead). The exhibit, curated by Pepe Moscoso of FusionArte is free and open to the public one hour prior to each performance of Miracle Theatre Group's original, bilingual production ¡Viva la Revolución!, plus by appointment for student groups.

Strawdog Theatre Company begins their 24th anniversary season with Harold Pinter's Old Times, directed by Kimberly Senior, October 6 - November 12, at the Strawdog Theatre, 3829 N Broadway. The performance schedule is Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Previews are October 6 and 7 with tickets being $15.

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music will host a 'Festival of Friends' musical celebration honoring the life and career of Distinguished Professor Emeritus Harvey Phillips in the Musical Arts Center (MAC) at IU Bloomington on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. The free event, which will take place almost a year after Phillips' passing, will include performances from faculty, distinguished alumni and students from the Jacobs School.

In Dora's Pirate Adventure, Dora, her best buddy Boots the Monkey, and the rest of their friends embark on an exciting trip to Treasure Island. The audience helps them navigate over Dancing Mountain, through Silly Singing Bridge and to confront the Pirate Piggies. Along the way, the audience will use their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills to successfully help Dora reach the treasure. All ends happily onstage with a 'yo-ho-ho!'
