The UK's International Youth Arts Festival showcase for new work from outstanding young arts producers announces its 2012 programme, kicking off for the first time with a special week of participatory projects, workshops and schools engagement (29th June - 5th July).

Opera Theater of Connecticut, the state's oldest professional opera company, welcomes an audience for its 15th Amici Vocal Competition on Saturday, May 12, 2012, the only vocal competition in the state specifically for Connecticut singers and students. Come hear some of the state's finest young opera singers in the intimate setting of the Andrews Memorial Theater, 54 East Main Street in Clinton, CT, hosted by the Amici, Opera Theater's volunteer support group.

Materializing 'Six Years': Lucy R. Lippard and the Emergence of Conceptual Art, the first exhibition to explore the impact of the feminist writer, curator, and activist Lucy R. Lippard on the Conceptual art movement, will be on view at the Brooklyn Museum September 14, 2012, through January 20, 2013.

The Palace Theatre today announced the 8th Annual Kitchen Tour presented by Granite State Cabinetry and CABICO Custom Cabinetry and hosted by Baron's Major Brands on Sunday, June 3rd 2012.

The Wallflowers have announced they are back in the studio and putting the finishing touches on a new studio album that will be released by Columbia Records this fall. Currently recording in Nashville at Dan Auerbach's (The Black Keys) Easy Eye Sound studio, the new album finds frontman Jakob Dylan joining original band members Greg Richling (bass) and Rami Jaffee (keyboards), with Wallflowers' longtime guitarist Stuart Mathis and drummer Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam) rounding out the lineup. The album is being produced by Jay Joyce (Emmylou Harris, Cage the Elephant) and mixed by Rich Costey (Bruce Springsteen, The Shins).
