Writer/director/actor Veronica Kadar's dark romantic comedy Joe + Belle debuts on DVD from Wolfe Video on July 3rd.

The Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF) today announced the 8TH annual kidsfilmfest (http://www.kidsfilmfest.org) which will be staged at indieScreen, BFF's space in Williamsburg: June 2nd at 1pm. Since 2004, kidsfilmfest has followed its mission to promote children's filmmakers and to educate young movie-goers about the art of film production.

The Tony Award-winning Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Darko Tresnjak, Artistic Director, and Michael Stotts, Managing Director, presents William Shakespeare's The Tempest, directed by Darko Tresnjak, playing May 18 through June 10, 2012 (press opening: Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30pm).

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater produces the 2011 Tony Award-winning production of Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart, directed by George C. Wolfe. Wolfe, who directed the show's sold-out Broadway engagement last season, mounts the professional D.C.-area premiere of this production, which features returning Broadway cast members Patrick Breen and Luke MacFarlane, among others. Presented by special arrangement with Daryl Roth, The Normal Heart runs June 8-July 29, 2012 in the Kreeger Theater.

Due to high demand from a wider age range of Eastside teens, Studio East will change its summer musical offering from Legally Blonde the Musical to the Tony award-winning Thoroughly Modern Millie.

George Kareman: Incredibly Extreme and Extremely Incredible, a new sketch comedy show, will debut at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre at 8:00pm on Thursday, May 17th. The Lyric Theater today announced the June Art Cinema schedule at The Lyric. Art Cinema is a continuing series of weekly art films, documentaries, indies, and hard to find international cinema. Almost every week, year round, the Lyric will present these great films with three screenings of each film daily.

NORTH BY NORTHEAST (NXNE) announces the next wave of programming for the 18th edition of the festival, including five-piece prog-metal maniacs PROTEST THE HERO, psychedelic-rockers PORTUGAL. THE MAN, surging Canadian singer-songwriter MATT MAYS, noise rock trio A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS, minimalist pop duo ETERNAL SUMMERS, and DUSTED, the latest project from Holy Fuck's Brian Borcherdt and Bruce Peninsula's Leon Taheny. Sony Masterworks releases Viva Brazil, a six-song live digital EP from Yo-Yo Ma, Kathryn Stott, Sergio and Odair Assad and Joseph Gramley. Recorded live on April 30th at the Palladium Center in Carmel, Indiana, the Viva Brazil Live EP is available now via all digital service providers.

Chairman of Stage Entertainment, Joop van den Ende and Producer and President of Disney Theatrical Productions, Thomas Schumacher announce two premiere productions of THE LITTLE MERMAID. The Holland production is currently in previews in Groningen and opens on June 16th, 2012 in Rotterdam. The Moscow production of THE LITTLE MERMAID will make its debut on October 6th, 2012.

PTP/NYC, in association with Middlebury College, will present its 26th repertory season, its 6th consecutive in New York, running from July 3 - 29, 2012 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in New York City.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Aron Lewis Productions present He's Not Himself a new musical comedy by Marc Silverberg. Michael Pantone directs a cast of five including Keith Panzarella, Marc Silverberg, Taylor Sorice, Dexter Thomas-Payne, and Carly Voight. Performances for He's Not Himself will be held at the PTC Performance Space, 555 West 42nd Street (bet. 10th & 11th Avenues) in NYC for six performances from Monday, July 9 through Monday, July 16, 2012.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the National Book Award-winning memoir, "The Year of Magical Thinking" by Joan Didion, June 12 - 30, featuring noted actress Maureen Anderman as Didion. Directed by Nicholas Martin, the play is based on the author's actual experience rebuilding her life during the year after her spouse's death and her capacity to emerge strengthened from even the most shattering of life's trials.

Pilobolus Dance Theatre checks into the The Joyce for its annual four-week season, this year from July 16 - August 11.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, for a second time, through Sunday, July 1 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The original run of the production was extended through Sunday, June 17 after 4000 MILES opened to critical acclaim in early April.

After a successful run this winter, Don't Act Like A Girl is back. In honor of Pride month, the Annoyance Theatre is hosting the show at 8 PM every Sunday in June.

Now celebrating its 34th year, the annual Museum Mile Festival (www.museummilefestival.org) takes place rain or shine on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Eclipse Theatre Company (www.eclipsetheatre.com), the only theatre company in the Midwest to feature the works of one playwright in one season, continues their 2012 season featuring the works of legendary American playwright Eugene O'Neill with his romantic comedy, "Ah, Wilderness!" directed by Eclipse ensemble member Steve Scott. This will be the second of three productions by America's first great playwright.
