Next 50 Film Project Seeks Video Stories on Seattle Neighborhoods

Next 50 Civic Action month seeks video submissions for a new filmmaking initiative. A Story Runs Through It Film Project and Festival invites residents of all ages to create visual tales featuring Seattle's neighborhoods and communities. Free workshops are available to train participants on film making techniques. Films will be accepted through Aug. 31.

Paramount Pictures, founded in 1912 as the Famous Players Film Company, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To mark this milestone, Museum of the Moving Image will present a month-long film series, from June 2 through July 1, 2012, featuring sixteen films produced by Paramount during one of its greatest decades. The films will be shown in archival 35mm prints and digital restorations provided by the studio.
