First Folio Theatre, (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83), is presenting a special fully staged reading of SHYLOCK AND HIS DAUGHTER by Maurice Schwartz on Thursday, July 26 and Thursday, August 2, 9, and 16 at 8:15 p.m. Originally written for the Yiddish theater and translated into English, this play tells the same story as First Folio's main stage Shakespeare-under-the-Stars production, THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, but from Shylock's perspective.

SPACE CAPTAIN: Captain of Space! is an original multimedia comedy mixing live theater with film and puppetry. The show is set in the world of 1930's serial adventure stories like Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers, but with a very modern sense of humor. Upon arrival, the audience will be immersed in the world of a 1930's cinema, and the entire show (including the live portions!) is in black and white.

Six early-career theatre leaders will receive One-on-One grants for professional development via mentorships at TCG Member Theatres. Eight mid-career and veteran theatre professionals at TCG Member Theatres will receive Continuing Ed grants for learning opportunities to advance their leadership skills. The overall intent of this program is to strengthen the field by developing the individuals who are the core and the future of theatre.
