On August 19th at 7pm, BroadwayUnderstudies.com has invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent-the ability to perform at a second's notice. They'll be thrown into the fire in 'Half Hour: A Last Minute Concert,' a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. The audience will get to vote on what song each performer will sing.

The July 30th 7:30pm benefit concert for The Actors Fund of the Benny Andersson, Tim Rice and Bjorn Ulvaeus musical CHESS will offer a limited amount of $30 Student Rush Tickets to students with a valid ID, cash only. Starring Tony Award-nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables), Helen Hayes Award-winner Natascia Diaz (Man of La Mancha, Seussical, The Capeman, Carnival) and Drew Sarich (Les Miserables, Lestat, starring in the upcoming Broadway-bound production of Rocky the Musical in Europe) this special CHESS "In Concept" Concert will take place at LaGuardia Arts at Lincoln Center (100 Amsterdam Avenue); this stripped down all through-sung concert-version will focus on the music, lyrics and characters, emulating the original 1984 concept album and incorporating virtually all of the original London score.

This summer, Center for Puppetry Arts presents a very special production for Atlanta's younger audience members and their parents. Five timeless tales of fun and friendship hit the stage in a fresh and invigorating new format specifically developed to engage and educate children ages two through six. This 'Theater for the Very Young' production takes audiences on a playful carnival ride with a bandwagon of animal friends that will have little ones bouncing, clapping, and singing along. The show features some of Aesop's most famous fables including the Lion and the Mouse, the Country Mouse and City Mouse, the Fox and the Crane, the Ant and the Grasshopper, and the Tortoise and the Hare.

Twin Cities favorites Nathan Keepers (Estragon) and Jim Lichtscheidl (Vladimir) take on the leading roles in The Jungle Theater's WAITING FOR GODOT, Samuel Beckett's "tragicomedy in two acts," widely considered one of the most significant plays of the 20th century. Artistic Director Bain Boehlke directs the duo who play two old friends debating the meaning of life and the absurdities of human behavior in this funny, captivating and illuminating production. Allen Hamilton (Pozzo) and Charles Schuminski (Lucky) round out the cast.

With its winning combination of trade show and performances, the international dance fair "interrnationale tanzmesse nrw" has been a magnet for contemporary dance companies, professionals and artists from all over the world since 1994. The fair became a biennial event in Dusseldorf in 2002 and has since attracted a growing number of contemporary dance professionals, with the last event in 2010 being the largest ever: More than 1000 trade attendees from 42 countries came to Dusseldorf to meet with 246 dance-related organizations at 102 booths on the show floor and watch performances from 60 dance companies from 23 countries on stages in Dusseldorf and beyond over 4 days. This year's show dates are August 29 - September 1, 2012. 243 exhibitors from 34 countries are registered at this time with a 30% increase in the number of booths compared to 2010.
