Casa 0101 Theater, Josefina Lopez, Artistic Director, will present Casa 0101's 2nd Annual Brown & Out Theater Festival (BAOTF), featuring a collection of 11 World Premiere short plays celebrating the Latino/a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning/Queer experience. Set at a Catskills resort in 1960, this endearing story presents most of Neil Sedaka's most popular songs spun together in a light-hearted tale of mistaken identity, friendship and love.

This exhibition Occupied and Unwelcome is a collaboration that merges the landscapes of Zuccotti Park with the Sonoran Desert, two locales with seemingly nothing in common. Yet they represent a very singular and distinct reality of American life: the faceless and nameless people who live in a bleak land of supposedly boundless opportunities, who, in reality, are powerless before the forces of globalization, economic hegemony, and political corruption/dysfunction, whose sole purpose is to maintain an unstable world equilibrium that favors only the select few.

The Metropolitan Opera will open its 2012-13 season on September 24 at 7:00 p.m. with a new production of Donizetti's delightful comic gem L'Elisir d'Amore, starring Russian diva Anna Netrebko-in her second consecutive Met opening night-as the irresistible heroine Adina. Matthew Polenzani sings the role of the lovelorn peasant Nemorino, Mariusz Kwiecien sings Sergeant Belcore, his romantic rival, and Ambrogio Maestri is the potion-peddling Doctor Dulcamara in Bartlett Sher's new staging of the classic love story, which will be conducted by Maurizio Benini. The principal singers and conductor will return to reprise the opera this January and February, with Netrebko's offstage partner Erwin Schrott replacing Maestri in the role of Dulcamara.
