Los Angeles based artist Aaron Axelrod (aaronaxelrod.com) unveils 'Melting Rainbows,' a 360 degree Vortex Dome theater presented by c3: Center for Conscious Creativity and Vortex Immersion Media. Axelrod's 'Melting Rainbows' fully immerses viewers in the experience of both a filmed and live visual hallucination including melting, dripping and color-shifting imagery. This technique is accomplished by Axelrod's experimental use of 'fulldome' visual projection which combines multiple projectors to create a large seamless image on the dome. Axelrod has created both a short film and developed a live performance to showcase this technique. The film combines innovative visuals with an original score composed by solo electronica musician, Pepepiano, as viewers embark on a magical journey through sight and sound. Using the same experimental technique used to create his short film, Axelrod will collaborate with Jeff Smith of Eye Vapor to perform his hypnotic visual performance live to a contemporary array of music and sounds.

Fuse, the national music television network of The Madison Square Garden Company, is bringing audiences a week of interviews and live performances with "Fuse Music Week: Live from Radio City Music Hall." Beginning on Friday, September 21, Fuse's newly created news division - Fuse News - will be stationed at Radio City Music Hall to capture exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage that will air on the linear network. In addition, Fuse's YouTube channel will feature live streams of some of today's hottest music acts. Hartford Stage, under the leadership of Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts, today announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder withbook by Robert L. Freedman; music by Steven Lutvak; lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak; and directed by Darko Tresnjak. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder will be on stage October 11 to November 11 and will feature Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays, playing eight of the more than 20 characters.

The Howard County Arts Council is now accepting artist applications for its annual Cultural Arts Showcase, presented in partnership with the Recreation & Leisure Service Branch (RALS) of the Maryland Recreation & Parks Association (MRPA).
