The Utah Shakespeare Festival has a special quilt on display for the Block by Block: Stories of Common Threads exhibit at the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum, which will run until December 31. The quilt was created by the Festival's first costume designer from the Festival's inaugural season in 1962.

Due to a scheduling conflict, the Kindling Theater Company will now present its inaugural production, the world premiere of The Future Is Not What It Was, written by Michael Rabe and directed by Jay Stull, beginning Saturday, January 12 at 8pm. The production, formerly scheduled for The Wild Project, will instead be presented at Soho Rep's Walkerspace, 46 Walker Street. The new opening night is set for Monday, January 21 at 8pm.

Sara Crewe, heiress to a large fortune, is enrolled at Miss Minchin's Select Seminary for Young Ladies in Victorian England. At first her life is happy, but news arrives that her father has died and her fortune is lost. Sara is forced to become a servant and must live in a small attic room that seems no better than a prison cell. When a mysterious gentleman from India takes the house next door, some strange and curious things begin to happen. A touching and beautiful score adds a magical touch to this enchanting show. This show is suitable for the whole family.

Due to popular demand, Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co.'s hit production of SUPERIOR DONUTS will add three final weeks of performances - extending through December 31, 2012 at The Royal George Cabaret Theatre, 1641 N. Halsted St. in Chicago. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts and directed by Matt Miller, the critically acclaimed remount features nearly all of the original Mary-Arrchie cast members. A special New Year's Eve performance on Monday, December 31 at 8 pm will mark the show's final performance at The Royal George, where the remount enjoyed a two-month run, including two extensions.
