Actor Jackie Cooper has passed away. He was 88 years old. The youngest actor to ever be nominated for an Academy Award at just nine years old in 1931, Jackie Cooper went on to have an acting career that spanned nearly six decades. He later delved into directing and producing for television.

This week is a good one for Al Pacino, who yesterday received a Tony nomination for his turn as Shylock in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, and today was chosen to debut his film 'Wild Salome' at the Venice Film Festival and receive the Jaeger-Le Coultre Glory to the Filmmaker 2011 Award.

Moxie Street Picture Shows (Melody Freeman and Kimberly Yates, Producing Partners) will launch the Los Angeles Premiere of Elizabeth Meriwether's THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE. The Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre fittingly wraps up its 2011-2012 season by paying tribute to their 'signature' composer Stephen Sondheim, with Side by Side by Sondheim, the renowned musical revue celebrating the early works of America's leading composer.

For one night only at Juilliard, on Monday, June 13 at 7 PM, actors Sir Derek Jacobi, Richard Clifford, and Juilliard alumna Monica Raymund perform selected readings from Shakespeare's The Tempest, complemented by 17th-century songs and instrumental highlights inspired by Shakespeare's play and compiled into an early operatic version.

The producers of Broadway's LOMBARDI announced today that the show will play its final performance on Sunday May 22. Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo said, 'LOMBARDI was a story that we wanted to tell and an idea that we believed in.
