Star Wars: In Concert comes to London for one day only on July 25th at the John Labatt Centre. Fresh off a very successful European Tour the show returns to North America to dazzle audiences with a full size symphony, choir and one of the largest LED screens ever featured on the tour.

The hit musical Rock of Ages comes to Toronto April 20th, 2010 and the cast is getting ready to rock! On April 5th, the cast and crew invited the press for a special preview performance of some of the songs from the show at the rehearsal hall at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. BWW was on hand to get some pictures and bring you a sneak peak at what to expect when the musical opens later this month.

Canada's 'Broadway Star' Louise Pitre is scheduled to perform a very special concert with the Stratford Symphony Orchestra on April 10th, 2010. In anticipation of this event, BWW sat down with Ms. Pitre to discuss her history with musical theatre and her plans for the future.

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra has a special concert coming up this week called POPS Goes Vegas! My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding has taken Toronto by storm, starting as the surprise hit of last year's Fringe Festival and growing into a successful production that has had many extensions at The Panasonic Theatre. Rebecca Northan's wildly popular improv comedy Blind Date just finished a sold-out three week run as part of Harbourfront Centre's World Stage 2010 Season. Funny and charming, I had a wonderful time watching 'Mimi' woo her date of the evening! This is a little show with big potential, and I encourage all BWW readers to see it if they are ever given the chance. I suspect Ms. Northan could be Canada's own Carrie Bradshaw!

In February, a new rock musical got its World Premiere in Sarnia, ON (just outside of Toronto) and BWW was on hand to watch the event unfold and report back about the history behind this new show.
