The New York Philharmonic's 170th subscription season will conclude with Music Director Alan Gilbert, The Yoko Nagae Ceschina Chair, leading the Orchestra in an all- Mozart program: the Mass in C minor, Great, and Piano Concerto No. 22, featuring Emanuel Ax - Honorary Member of the Philharmonic-Symphony Society of New York - as soloist, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, June 22 at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 23 at 8:00 p.m. The C-minor Mass will feature performances by soprano Jennifer Zetlan (making her New York Philharmonic debut), mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnson Cano, tenor Paul Appleby (also making his Philharmonic debut), baritone Joshua Hopkins, and the New York Choral Artists, directed by Joseph Flummerfelt. Ms. Zetlan, Ms. Johnson Cano, Mr. Appleby, and Mr. Hopkins will join Alan Gilbert and the Philharmonic to perform the C-minor Mass at the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival July 27.

(Are you in tears yet?!) It's up to big sis, Billie, to convince Hubie's sleazeoid father to cough up the $608 for repairs. Fair is fair, after all!

Tribeca Film announced today that it has acquired all North American rights to THE COMEDY, director Rick Alverson's provocative character study, which is already one of the most talked about films since it bowed at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The film also played South by Southwest and is set for BAMcinemaFEST this June, it will be released in October 2012. Jagjaguwar, the prominent independent music label known for artists such as Bon Iver and Sharon Van Etten, produced THE COMEDY in conjunction with Greyshack Films and Larry Fessenden's Glass Eye Pix, along with Mike S. Ryan and Brent Kunkle producing. Rough House Pictures, the Production Company of Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Jody Hill, and Matt Reilly attached themselves to the film during Sundance.

Peak Performances has been rapidly making Montclair State University a major cultural destination, even for New Yorkers. Nine premieres including stunning, often startling, new music, dance and theater works by composers David T. Little, Laurie Anderson, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Toshi Reagon; choreographers Benjamin Millepied, Richard Alston, Vusi Mdoyi, Jasmin Vardimon; directors Robert Wilson and Romeo Castellucci are among the highlights of the 2012/13 Peak Performances season. This summer Jungle Theater will stage NOISES OFF! Joel Sass will direct the Tony-nominated play by Michael Frayn, playing June 8-July 29 at the Lyn-Lake theater, 2951 Lyndale Av. S., in Minneapolis.

Park Avenue Armory will present Trisha Brown Dance Company's reconstruction of ASTRAL CONVERTED, a groundbreaking work by choreographer Trisha Brown in collaboration with Robert Rauschenberg (visual and costume design) and John Cage (original music) July 10th - 14th, 2012. The piece will be presented in its entirety for the first time in 18 years in Park Avenue Armory's soaring 55,000-square-foot Wade Thompson Drill Hall. The culminating work in Brown's Valiant Series, ASTRAL CONVERTED premiered at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. in 1991.

Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the world premiere of EASTLAND: A NEW MUSICAL, written by Artistic Director Andrew White with music by Ben Sussman and Artistic Associate Andre Pluess and directed by Amanda Dehnert. The production runs June 6 - July 29, 2012 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson. The monthly THE ENCYCLOPEDIA SHOW ends its 4th season on June 6, 2012 with this month's theme The Universe and Shanny Jean Maney's book debut at the Vittum Theater, 1012 N. Noble St. Created by co-hosts Robbie Q. Telfer and Maney, THE ENCYCLOPEDIA SHOW explores a set theme and artists across disciplines, from spoken word to music, are invited to create a piece about that theme. The June 6 show will also feature an interview with one of the founders of string theory, Leonard Susskind. THE ENCYCLOPEDIA SHOW has now spread to 10 cities world-wide including New York, L.A., Austin, Seoul, Korea, and Berlin, Germany. The season finale on June 6 also celebrates the book debut of Maney's book of poetry 'I Love Science!'.

WICKED, the award-winning hit musical that tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to announce its partnership with anti-bullying charity The Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation, which launched in the UK last night (Thursday 10 May).
