The GRAMMY Museum® has expanded its executive leadership team and appointed Michael Sticka as Executive Director, responsible for the organization's strategic direction and leading all aspects of operations, including curatorial, development, marketing, grants and awards, public and education programs, and more. Previously, Sticka served as Controller and Senior Director of Finance and Administration and was critical in overseeing the Museum's integration with the GRAMMY Foundation® in 2017, as well as designing and managing a strategic plan for the combined organization's future.

Angelina Jolie will star in the 'The Kept,' according to Variety. The film, which Imperative Entertainment recently acquired the rights to, is an adaption of the novel of the same name by James Scott.

Patrick Stewart is set to star as Bosley in Elizabeth Banks' reboot of Charlie's Angels, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and newcomer Ella Balinska as the Angels. Banks will direct, produce, and star in the Sony film.

Shakey Graves announces a new EP coming September 21 that will feature live performances of the tracks 'Cops and Robbers' and 'Counting Sheep' from his NPR Night Owl session that occurred in his hometown of Austin at SXSW earlier this year. The session was filmed at the historic Saengerrunde Hall.

The Discogs Top 50 Best Selling Records Of July 2018 chart is live and contains Juggalo-adjacent rapper Ouija's cassette release of Trashfire at #19, marking the first time a cassette has charted. Italian Funk/Disco/Experimental duo Nu Guinea's Nuova Napoli quickly sold through their first, second, third, and fourth pressings of Nuova Napoli and sits at #9. Demand must be high for the NG Records release, as a first pressing of Nuova Napoli is currently selling in the Discogs Marketplace for €200. Also of note, the June 29 release of John Coltrane's Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album debuts at #28.

On November 2nd, Lovitt Records will reissue The Mercury Program's third full-length A Data Learn the Language on 2xLP. Long out of print and extremely hard to find on wax, the record has been recut by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service and will be pressed on colored vinyl with a gatefold sleeve. To celebrate the release, the band will head out for two weeks worth of concert dates across the East coast. These shows will include two full sets — the first set consists of songs drawn from Chez Viking (2009) and New Myths (2016), followed by a second set featuring of A Data Learn the Language performed in it's entirety.
