Breakout rock band Bishop Gunn have confirmed their first European tour, opening select dates for Slash next year. The shows will follow the band's current tour with Whiskey Myers, as well as performances with The Marcus King Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackberry Smoke. Rolling Stone Country calls their live show “pulverizing” and “fierce.” See below for details.

dick clark productions announced today that Ryan Coogler's Black Panther will receive this year's “Hollywood Film Award,” and Pixar Animation Studios' Incredibles 2 will receive the “Hollywood Animation Award” at the 22nd Annual “Hollywood Film Awards,” taking place on Sunday, November 4 at The Beverly Hilton. Both films received wide critical acclaim and broke box office records this year. Black Panther became a cultural phenomenon that has broken boundaries and created a movement, gracing the cover of Time Magazine. Black Panther had the highest grossing non-sequel opening weekend of all time, showing that diversity and representation in front of and behind the camera can equal global box-office success. Incredibles 2 marked the biggest opening weekend in history for an animated film, grossing more than $1.2 billion globally to date and garnering widespread critical acclaim. Two-time Oscar winner writer/director Brad Bird's follow up to 2004's Oscar-winning The Incredibles expands upon the original's daring concept of a family of Supers who struggle against society's fickle embrace while tasked with stopping a devious plot to undermine the public's belief and faith in government and national security. Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) this time takes center stage as the family's secret weapon, while Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) stays home to care for the children, who display increasingly curious powers of their own.

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) today announces the winners of the 2018 Stephen and Cynthia Rubin Institute for Music Criticism. Jennifer Gersten, a DMA candidate at Stony Brook University, was chosen by a panel of leading national music critics to receive the $10,000 Rubin Prize in Music Criticism for demonstrating outstanding promise in music criticism. Brin Solomon, an MFA candidate at New York University, was selected as runner-up and received a $1,000 award. As part of the Rubin Institute's mission to advance and maintain qualitative discourse on music, the two cash prizes are intended to support further endeavors in the field of music criticism.

Religious courts in the Middle East, including the Shari'a courts of Islam which adjudicate domestic and family matters, have traditionally banned women from serving as judges – until Kholoud Al-Faqih dared to challenge that history. Game Show Network, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, has added Joey Fatone (*NSYNC, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) as host of its new knowledge-based game show, COMMON KNOWLEDGE. The new half-hour series will premiere January 14 at 5:30 p.m. ET and will air Monday through Friday.

Netflix has released the first official trailer for the third season of The Last Kingdom, featuring a host of new characters including Ola Rapace (Skyfall) as Danish warrior Bloodhair, Thea Sofie Loch Næss (One Night in Oslo) as the dangerous seer Skade, Timothy Innes (Harlots) as King Alfred's heir, Edward, and Magnus Bruun (Sprinter Galore, The Bridge) as Cnut.

The new feature film 'Mosul,' written and directed by Matthew Michael Carnahan, is now in post-production in Los Angeles.  Shot in secret this past spring on location in Morocco, “Mosul,” explores the true story of an elite police unit made up almost entirely of native sons of Mosul who fought to liberate the city from six thousand ISIS militants. “Mosul” is based on an extraordinary feat of journalism by Luke Mogelson in The New Yorker in which he embedded with the unit for two months and documented the SWAT team's desperate fight, block by block, to destroy ISIS.  Joe and Anthony Russo's AGBO and Condé Nast Entertainment shot the film in Marrakech, Morocco and have been editing in Los Angeles at AGBO.  The film delivers scope, action and quality on par with the best of Hollywood.  Shot by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Mauro Fiore, “Mosul” is beautiful, epic and impossibly tense.

To celebrate 'Wicked's' 15th anniversary on Broadway, NBC threw a joyous Halloween party for the ages. This televised concert featured songs from the blockbuster musical hit 'Wicked' and showcased the impact that the musical has had all around the world.

National Geographic today announced the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning COSMOS will return for its third season beginning Monday, March 4 at 10/9c.

Written and directed by Ben Chanan (Cyberbully) and produced by Heyday Television and NBCUniversal International Studios, Callum Turner (War and Peace, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) and Holliday Grainger (Strike, Cinderella) will lead the cast of The Capture, an acutely timely surveillance thriller set in London for BBC One.

FOX is announcing premiere dates for THE ORVILLE (Dec. 30), GORDON RAMSAY'S 24 HOURS TO HELL AND BACK (Jan. 2), GOTHAM (Jan. 3) and PROVEN INNOCENT (Feb. 15), as well as the all-new COSMOS installment, COSMOS: POSSIBLE WORLDS (March 3). As previously announced, new celebrity singing competition THE MASKED SINGER will premiere Jan. 2, new epic thriller THE PASSAGE will premiere Jan. 14 and all-new live musical event RENT will air Jan. 27.

To celebrate Wicked's 15th Anniversary on Broadway, NBC threw a Halloween party for the ages with 'A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway.' Hosted by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, the event featured performances from Adam Lambert, Pentatonix, and Ariana Grande.

CBS All Access announced today that its upcoming psychological thriller series, TELL ME A STORY, will launch on its service in Canada on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Following premiere week, new episodes of TELL ME A STORY's 10-episode first season will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in Canada, mirroring the series' roll-out in the U.S.
