The New School's College of Performing Arts (CoPA) today announced a landmark partnership with the Philip Glass Ensemble (PGE) and long-time PGE member, Lisa Bielawa, around the work of Philip Glass, one of the world's preeminent composers, musicians, and authors, to form a new learning and creative center. Building on Glass's enduring contributions to modern culture, the Philip Glass Institute (PGI) will offer students, faculty, and the public the opportunity to immerse themselves in the work of Philip Glass, other important artists within his circle, and the work of the iconic Philip Glass Ensemble. Renowned composer and long-time vocalist for the PGE Lisa Bielawa will become the inaugural Composer-in-Residence and Chief Curator of the Philip Glass Institute.

BBC AMERICA today announced the expansion of its highly successful broadcast and streaming of Professional Darts, adding the 2018/2019 World Darts Championship from London's sold-out Alexandra Palace from December 13 to January 1. The best matches of the week will air Sunday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm ET. BBCA will stream a record 111 hours live on BBC America.com. The Final will air in primetime on BBC AMERICA on Tuesday, January 1 at 9:30pm ET following the Doctor Who New Year's Day special. 

Tony winner, Annaleigh Ashford has been cast as Judy Holliday in' Smart Blonde,' a biopic about about Oscar-winning actress, according to Deadline.

 Netflix has entered into a multi-year first look deal with Academy Award nominated writer, producer, director Chris Columbus and his 1492 Pictures partners, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe. Under the deal, Netflix gets a first look at any feature film that Columbus and his partners want to produce.

AT&T AUDIENCE Network has picked up its original comedy series “Loudermilk” for a 3rd season. Production for the 10 30-minute episodes is scheduled to begin in spring in Vancouver with the premiere launching later in the year.

Saxophonics pioneer Skerik is teaming up with genre-defying guitarist and longtime Wilco member Nels Cline, prolific Medeski Martin & Wood drummer Billy Martin, and enigmatic bassist and former member of Prince's band, MonoNeon, for a very special post-Phish late-night show in New York City.
