Netflix announced today that Academy Award Winner George Clooney is in pre-production on an untitled feature project for Netflix that he will direct and star in. Mark L. Smith adapted the screenplay from the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Smokehouse Pictures' Grant Heslov (Academy Award Winner) and Clooney will produce alongside Anonymous Content and Syndicate Entertainment, who sourced the material.

 TLC's “Summer of Love” continues to turn up the heat with its red-hot 90 Day Fiancé franchise. First, fans will get an extra special dose of Pedro and Chantel in the first ever spinoff of the 90 Day franchise following an individual couple, THE FAMILY CHANTEL, premiering Monday, July 22 at 10pm ETPT.  Premium television network EPIX® and NFL Films announced today that Emmy-nominated broadcaster Rich Eisen will host NFL: The Grind.  Starting September 11, the 17-episode season of NFL: The Grind airs Wednesdays at 9pm ET throughout the entirety of the 2019 NFL season.

SHOWTIME has announced four new series regulars joining the cast of THE L WORD: GENERATION Q, premiering this fall on SHOWTIME. Arienne Mandi (Baja), Leo Sheng (Adam), Jacqueline Toboni (Easy) and Rosanny Zayas (Orange is the New Black) are set to star as the new generation of LGBTQIA characters who will join original series stars and executive producers Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey. Executive produced by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan (The Four-Faced Liar, 6 Balloons), original series creator Ilene Chaiken, Kristen Campo and Steph Green (pilot), the series is set to begin production on eight episodes in Los Angeles this summer.

Following the recent greenlight announcements of Rebuilding Paradise from Academy Award-winning director Ron Howard and The Untitled Thai Cave Rescue Project (wt) from Academy Award-winning director Kevin Macdonald, National Geographic has announced it will continue to expand its feature documentary slate with The Cave — a powerful new film about a hidden secret underground hospital in Syria and the unprecedented female-led team of civilians and medical professionals who are risking their lives to provide medical care to the besieged local population. The announcement comes as the Museum of the Moving Image prepares to honor National Geographic for its accomplishments over the past few years, including the success of its newly formed documentary film unit — which recently won the Oscar and BAFTA for Best Documentary Feature of 2018 for Free Solo.

Robin Roberts and ABC News will bring viewers into the heart of “The Lion King”'s timeless appeal and capture the excitement of the highly anticipated new film with the prime-time special  “The Lion King: Can You Feel The Love Tonight with Robin Roberts.” Airing Tuesday, July 16 (8:00 – 9:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC, the one-hour special hosted and co-executive produced by Robin Roberts features interviews with cast and crew, special behind-the-scenes footage and the debut of an exclusive unreleased scene from the new movie. Since “The Lion King”'s 1994 debut as an animated feature film, its universal themes have resonated with audiences around the world and has a fixed place in popular culture. Director Jon Favreau brings the beloved characters to the big screen in a whole new way in the 2019 version, which opens July 19. The special is a co-production between Roberts' Rock'n Robin Productions and ABC News' Lincoln Square Productions.

Alan Cumming and Ed Asner have joined the cast of Briarpatch on USA Network, according to Variety. The two appear in the anthology series in recurring roles, alongside the show's star Rosario Dawson.

The Boch Center and Live Nation announced today that multi-platinum singersongwriter Hozier will add a second show to his Wasteland, Baby! Tour at the Boch Center Wang Theatre stage on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 8:00PM.
