Netflix and Walden Media today announced Alicia Silverstone (Clueless, American Woman) and Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains) have been cast in the upcoming live-action seriesThe Baby-Sitters Club. In the series adaptation, Silverstone will play Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the mother of Kristy Thomas and love interest of Watson Brewer, played by Feuerstein.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) is pleased to announce that multi BAFTA-winning actor and comedian Steve Coogan will receive the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy Presented by Jaguar Land Rover at the 2019 British Academy Britannia Awards. BET Networks and Tyler Perry Studios announced today the second wave of talent joining the production of the new original drama 'The Oval.' The 25-episodes original series 'The Oval' will premiere this fall on BET. Javon Johnson, Ptosha Storey, Vaughn Hebron, Teesha Renee, Lodric Collins, Ciera Payton, Taja V. Simpson, Walter Fauntleroy, Brad Benedict, Travis Cure and Matthew Law join previously announced cast Ed Quinn, Kron Moore, Paige Hurd and Daniel Croix Henderson. 'THE OVAL' tells the story of a family placed in the White House by people of power while also highlighting the personal side and everyday lives of the staff who run the inner workings of the nation's most iconic residence. ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announced today that ABC has secured the rights to Mitchell Zuckoff's bestselling book “Fall and Rise: The Story of 9/11.” In order to commemorate and honor the 20th anniversary of the events of September 11, the network will develop a limited series based on the Harper Collins book in 2021. The series will be produced by Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment and executive produced by Erwin Stoff and Richard Abate of 3 Arts as well as Mitchell Zuckoff.

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 13th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 5-15, 2019, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2019 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. Each event includes screenings followed by star-studded discussions with the series cast and creatives.

Indie-rock band Remo Drive have announced a fall headlining run in continued support of their sophomore album Natural, Everyday Degradation.
