 E! unveiled today its expanded entertainment news programming slate that will include multiple new hours of original weekday content, debuting in 2020. With current franchises plus new formats, E!'s weekday schedule will include eight original entertainment news and commentary series.

ABC (3.782 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) was the demo champ on Monday thanks to the return of 'Bachelor in Paradise' (4.365 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) and a new 'Grand Hotel' (2.615 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T5).

Young punk band from the Isle of Wright, UK, Grade 2 will release their third album and Hellcat debut, Graveyard Island, on October 11th. The album was recorded and produced by Rancid's Tim Armstrong at Armstrong's Shiprec Studios and mixed by The Interrupters' Kevin Bivona. Today, the band unveils the video for Graveyard Island's title track. 

Global content studio Pulse Films has partnered with international journalist Noor Tagouri's At Your Service to produce a new multi-part non-fiction series :In America with Noor. The show, which highlights hot-button domestic issues for international audiences, will be executive produced by Tagouri and At Your Service's Adam Khafif, and Marisa Clifford, Dan Baglio and Thomas Benski, for Pulse Films. The series is heading to market early fall 2019.    

Today The Joy Formidable have announced the release of a special commemorative 10-year double album edition of their acclaimed debut release A Balloon Called Moaning. The double album, due October 25 via Hassle Records, will include their 2009 EP A Balloon Called Moaning plus a newly recorded acoustic Welsh language version, Y Falŵn Drom. A Balloon Called Moaning (10th Anniversary Edition) will be available on double CD and double coloured vinyl, limited to 1000 copies and can be pre-ordered HERE. 

Producer/DJ KAYZO has been carving a notable niche for himself in both the dance and rock worlds.  Today, August 6, the electronic music producer & DJ formally announces details of his album-- titled Unleashed—and it's a genre hybrid with some of the most revered artists in alternative and modern rock right now.  It will be released August 14 on Ultra Music.  

FX has ordered a fourth season of its Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) award winning hit comedy series Atlanta, it was announced today by Eric Schrier, President, FX Entertainment. Production of seasons three (previously ordered on 6/7/18) and four - both eight episodes each - are scheduled to begin next spring.

Fueled by the 2-part “The Bachelorette” finale, ABC won its 3rd straight week in Adults 18-49 (0.8/4), beating runner-up NBC by 14% (0.7/4), while doubling CBS (+100% - 0.4/2) and Fox (+100% - 0.4/2). ABC spiked over the prior week by 33% among Adults 18-49 to a 7-week high—since the week of 6/10/19. In addition, ABC improved over the year-ago week by 33% (0.6/3 on w/o 7/30/18), standing as the only broadcast network to post year-to-year growth.

FOX has released the opening credits for its highly anticipated new series airing BH90210. In the reboot of the hit series, the seven former teen idols will be playing heightened versions of themselves in the brand-new serialized drama – with a healthy dose of irreverence – that is inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other.

The National Wrecking Company featuring members of The Lizards, Cactus, Humble Pie & The Plasmatics are releasing their highly anticipated debut album. The new release features one of the final recordings by guitar legend Bernie Torme, best known for his work with the Ian Gillan Band and Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away this year. The song is a bonus preview track from the upcoming National Wrecking Company II release “Overture/Mechanized Confusion.”

Luke Combs' historic success continues this week with his latest single, “Beer Never Broke My Heart” reaching #1 on both Billboard's Country Airplay chart and theMediabase/Country Aircheck chart. This is Combs' sixth consecutive #1—a first on theBillboard Country Airplay chart—and his fastest rising single to date (13 weeks). Additionally this week, Combs' double platinum certified debut album, This One's For You, is #1 onBillboard's Top Country Albums chart for the 44th week—the longest reign ever for a male artist and second longest for an artist overall following Shania Twain's Come On Over in 1997 (50 weeks). This One's For You is also the most-streamed country album of 2019 so far.

Showtime Documentary Films announced it will premiere the network's first true crime docu-series,MURDER IN THE BAYOU, on Friday, September 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, from director Matthew Galkin (Kevorkian) and author Ethan Brown, whose New York Times Best Selling book Murder In The Bayou is the inspiration for the series. The five-part docu-series investigates the unsolved murders of eight women whose bodies were discovered between 2005 and 2009 in drainage canals and on desolate back roads in and around the town of Jennings, Louisiana in rural Jefferson Davis Parish. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour.

Premium network EPIX released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated new series, GODFATHER OF HARLEM. The 10-episode, hour-long drama series is inspired by the story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from ten years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X (Nigél Thatch) – catching Malcolm's political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart. GODFATHER OF HARLEM is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.

Today, Showtime Documentary Films announced that the new docu-series COUPLES THERAPY from DGA®Award nominated and Sundance Award winning filmmakers Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, and Eli Despres – the team behind the acclaimed SHOWTIME documentary WEINER – will premiere on Friday, September 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour. While new episodes of COUPLES THERAPY will be released on SHOWTIME linear channels weekly, all nine will be available immediately on September 6 for on-demand streaming, via the SHOWTIME and SHOWTIME ANYTIME apps and partnering on-demand platforms. 

Premium audio and reading platform Serial Box will release the anticipated continuation of Orphan Black (BBC America and Boat Rocker Media) on September 12. The Next Chapter picks up the clones' story eight years after the events of the show when biologist Cosima and her sestras, Sarah Manning and Alison Hendrix, along with other familiar (and not so familiar) faces, are forced out of their fiercely protected private lives to stop a global disaster.

Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIA.B), through one of its subsidiaries, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Paws, Inc., the entity holding global intellectual property rights to the Garfield and the U.S. Acres franchises–including corresponding rights related to content, consumer products, and location-based experiences. The acquisition is expected to close in the upcoming weeks.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has won the late-night ratings week of July 29-Aug. 2 in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics over “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC News' TODAY was the number-one morning show last week and for the July sweep topping “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54. TODAY has now won the key demo for 188 consecutive weeks, its best streak in nearly seven years. No other morning news show has been number-one in the demo for as long a streak. TODAY has also won 17 straight sweeps in the demo. Additionally, TODAY won in total viewers last Monday and Friday.
