 The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation® announced today singer and actress Sofia Carson will become a global ambassador for the Foundation. Carson's role will include advocating, promoting, and increasing awareness of the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation's mission and educational programs.  She will also participate in events to help raise funds and promote the Latin GRAMMY Foundation's primary charitable focus: to provide scholarships to students interested in Latin music, grants to scholars and organizations worldwide for research and preservation of diverse Latin music genres, and music education programs, including musical instrument donations to schools in need.

Popular LA based sister duo, Ceraadi, just released their highly anticipated ep; Ceraadi's Playlist, today. Fifty years ago, A & M Records signed a sister and brother duo called the Carpenters and released their debut album Offering (later re-titled Ticket to Ride), leading the way for the pair to become one of the most successful recording acts of all time. Coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of the monumental signing and album debut, We've Only Just Begun: Carpenters Remembered, the massively successful touring show based around the Carpenters' music and their story, will bring their behind-the-scenes portrait to the Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach, California for the first time. The six-performance event will run from Wednesday, August 28 through Sunday, September 1.

Brooklyn-based musician and songwriter Gold Child is excited to announce the release of her self-titled debut album. Out today, Gold Child is the introductory, full-length showcase from Emily Fehler, a Berklee College of Music graduate and self-proclaimed student of country music's golden age. Fehler moved to New York City in 2012 after finishing her studies in Boston, and as she began the process of coming up for air in Brooklyn, she developed an obsession with the music made by the great troubadours of country music, namely the work of luminaries Patsy Cline and Emmylou Harris.

Top producer and executive Toby Gorman has been named President of Universal Television Alternative Studio. Gorman, who fills the role after Meredith Ahr was promoted last fall to President of NBC Entertainment's Alternative and Reality Group, will report into Ahr. As President of UTAS, Gorman will oversee key operations of the burgeoning studio, including development, domestic sales strategy and creative affairs across a diverse slate of unscripted programming. In addition, he will collaborate closely across all areas of production, casting, business affairs and international commercial development for the studio.
