Riptide Music Festival took Fort Lauderdale beach by storm over the weekend of November 23 and 24. Riptide proved its fourth year in Broward County was bigger and better than before, with headliners such as The Killers, The 1975, and Jimmy Eat World.

After a much talked about debut in 2019, London's tasteful Cross The Tracks Festival is back and better than ever in 2020 with an all encompassing day of the finest jazz, funk and soul as well as delicious street food, carefully brewed craft beer, thought provoking talks, immersive workshops and plenty more on Sunday June 7th at Brixton's beautiful Brockwell Park. The first names to be announced include Sister Sledge, Tinariwen, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay MBE, Nu Guinea (Full Live Band), Channel One, Shabaka & The Ancestors, Soul II Soul's Jazzie B, Shy One, Tash LC, Jaz Karis, Pip Millet, Ashley Henry, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Chris Dave & The Drumhedz, Theon Cross, Jamz Supernova, Lynda Dawn, and Aaron Taylor.

Returning to Revealed Recordings with a hero's welcome after the success of the appropriately titled 'Young & Invincible' with Kura, 24-year-old Dutch wunderkind Jimmy Clash this time joins forces with South Korea's progressive prodigy Vanto, on what will be their second collaboration on the label following 'Golden Skies' last year. The track is titled 'Forever' and gives a voice to up and coming Swedish Songstress Maria Mathea who performs vocals.

Rufus Wainwright is set to release an A/B side 7' EP, Come A Little Bit Closer, on November 29, Record Store Day Black Friday. The limited edition EP arrives ahead of Wainwright's forthcoming 2020 album via BMG, and consists of two live performances of Neil Young's 'Harvest Moon' and Arcade Fire's 'Crown of Love.' Come A Little Bit Closer will be available exclusively at participating RSD Black Friday record stores, found here.

Smoke Fairies just played a sell-out single launch at The Social in association with Rough Trade to celebrate the release of a limited edition 7”. The show and single sold out three weeks prior to release and landed at #3 in the UK Vinyl Singles chart, surrounded by Coldplay, Queen and Kate Bush. They will play additional UK dates (below) in February just after the release of Darkness Brings The Wonders Home.  The ladies will also appear on John Kennedy Radio X with an interview and live session on January 28th.

Actress Olivia Rodrigo makes her songwriting debut with 'All I Want,' a song showcased in the episode of 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' premiering Friday, November 29 on Disney+. In the episode 'Blocking,' 16-year old Rodrigo performs the piano ballad as her character, Nini Salazar-Roberts. She recorded it live on the set during filming.
