BWW Recap: 'The Castle' Collapses on FARGODecember 8, 2015Anxiety. That is how I felt for over half of episode 9 of FARGO, 'The Castle.' There is so much to discuss, but I can't begin this recap without talking about the UFO! The entire season there have been very small glimpses into there being an alien undertone, but we never had any direction for it. In this episode is the most glaringly obvious indication of it: a giant UFO hovers over the carnage at the motel, distracting Bear long enough for Lou to kill him. However, other than it appearing, there is no explanation to it. It just hovers for 30 seconds and then disappears. I wish I had some interesting observation about the symbolism of the UFO, but I honestly have no idea where showrunner Noah Hawley is going with this. I'm just hoping for an explanation in the finale.
BWW Recap: The Doctor is 'Hell Bent' to Save Clara on DOCTOR WHODecember 5, 2015The Doctor's motives in 'Heaven Sent' become apparent in the Season 9 finale of DOCTOR WHO. At the end of the previous episode, we found out that The Doctor spent billions of years breaking through the wall, instead of just giving up what he knows about the hybrid. The people who wanted that information were the Time Lords, who trapped him in his own confession dial. When The Doctor returns to Gallifrey, and since he is a war hero to the people, he is able to take over Gallifrey and become president.

BWW Recap: The Blumquists Take Control on FARGODecember 1, 2015Tonight's episode of FARGO took a different turn, only following the perspectives of two sets of people: Ed and Peggy and Hanzee. The episode begins where we left off with Ed after he ran away from Hank and Lou. He returns home and he and Peggy escape with Dodd to his uncle's cabin in the woods. Their plan is to call the Gerhardt's, inform them they have Dodd, and give them Dodd in exchange for their freedom.
BWW Recap: The Doctor is 'Heaven Sent' on DOCTOR WHONovember 30, 2015In 'Heaven Sent,' Peter Capaldi shines in his first episode alone. Capaldi has no other interactions in the episode, unless you cant the silent hooded figure that follows him the entire time. This episode had a lot of surprises, and really allowed for Capaldi to show his talent and ability to create emotion all on his own.
BWW Recap: Consequences are Faced on FARGONovember 24, 2015The chaos continues. After the Kansas City's shoot out of the Gerhardt house, they hold a funeral for Otto, who died in the attack. The Gerhardt's are falling apart: with Rye and Otto dead, Dodd missing, and Bear starting to take matters into his own hands. However, they are able to take out a few Kansas City men, but not enough to make a huge difference.
BWW Recap: Clara Has to 'Face the Raven' on DOCTOR WHONovember 22, 2015Well, I knew it was coming, I thought I was prepared, but then it happened, and I realized I wasn't prepared. At. All. Clara is no longer The Doctor's companion. I'm still in shock. I knew it was happening, but I guess I blindly hoped that we'd have her for the full 12 episodes.
BWW Recap: It's Truth or Consequences in 'The Zygon Invasion' on DOCTOR WHONovember 1, 2015Zygon are back, and they are breaking the ceasefire established in The Day of the Doctor. As we learned from both Osgoods, there is a ceasefire, and if one human or Zygon goes rogue, that ceasefire will break. Unfortunately that occurs, and there are 20 million Zygons to deal with. One of the Osgoods dies, and the other is captured by Zygons and taken to the base in Turmezistan.
BWW Recap: See 'The Myth of Sisyphus' in Action on FARGOOctober 27, 2015In tonight's episode of FARGO, the (futile) search for Rye continues. The fate of every group lies on finding and turning Rye to their cause, except no one knows he's dead. The title of the show, 'The Myth of Sisyphus,' can either been seen to be describing the greek myth of Sisyphus, who was doomed for all eternity to push a bolder up a hill every day, only for it to fall back down at night and for him to start again, or to describe the Albert Camus novel of the same name. Either way, it obviously relates to the fact that the entire storyline as of now is chasing a man who is, well, ground meat.
BWW Recap: The Doctor Runs Into 'The Woman Who Lived' on DOCTOR WHOOctober 24, 2015The Doctor faced the consequences of his actions in 'The Woman Who Lived.' While searching for an alien artifact in the 17th century, he runs into Ashildr, now going by 'Me.' Still alive and very alone, is angry with The Doctor for making her immortal and then just leaving her behind.
BWW Recap: See How Everyone Acts 'Before the Law' on FARGOOctober 20, 2015In 'Before the Law,' everyone's lives revolved around one person, whether they know it yet or not. The death of Rye has caused a ripple effect in the lives of all of our characters: Dodd wants to find his brother before Floyd, so that he can convince him to back him for head of the Gerhardt family; Floyd just wants to know where her youngest son is; Ed and Peggy deal with the aftermath and mainly clean-up of killing Rye; the Kansas City men, led by Mike Milligan, are trying to find Rye in order to use him to gain control of the Gerhardt operation; and Lou and Hank are on the case trying to solve the Waffle Hut murders.
BWW Recap: Maisie Williams Guest Stars as 'The Girl Who Died' on DOCTOR WHOOctober 17, 2015Maisie Williams guest-stars as 'The Girl Who Died,' in tonight's episode of DOCTOR WHO. Maisie plays Ashildr, a Viking girl who's village is attacked by the Mire, some of the galaxy's best warriors. There was a lot of speculation as to who Maisie would play and the importance of the character, and though not what people guessed, Ashildr does become a very important character by the end of this episode.
BWW Recap: You Betcha FARGO is Back in 'Waiting for Dutch'October 13, 2015FARGO's second season returned tonight, and at a place in TV where anthology series have been tested, with TRUE DETECTIVE'S abysmal second season and AMERICAN HORROR STORY'S decline, Fargo was our last hope to prove the genre is still alive. Thankfully, Fargo delivered.
