Both actors are previous winners of The Drama League's Distinguished Performance Award.

Yesterday, April 26, the Time 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala took place at the Time Warner Center in New York City. Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, Elton John and Neil Patrick Harris were among the honorees on this year's list.

Today, April 27, Water for Elephants, based on Sara Gruen's novel of the same name and directed by Francis Lawrence premiered in Berlin. The film stars Robert Pattinson as Jacob Jankowski, Reese Witherspoon as Marlena and Christoph Waltz as August. Hal Holbrook plays the older Jacob Jankowski.

Larry Kramer's The Normal Heart opens on Broadway tonight, April 27 for a 12-week engagement at the John Golden Theatre. Previews began April 19, 2011.

Paper Mill Playhouse will open its 2011-2012 season with the premiere of a new Disney stage musical, Newsies. Featuring music by eight time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid), lyrics by Jack Feldman and a new book by four-time Tony® Award winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles, Torch Song Trilogy), Newsies is adapted for the stage from the live-action Disney feature film musical. The production will be directed at Paper Mill by Tony® nominee Jeff Calhoun (The Will Rogers Follies, Grey Gardens). The show begins performances on Thursday, September 15. The official press opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 25.

Yesterday, April 25, Daniel Radcliffe celebrated his cover of Gotham Magazine at Salon De Ning at the Peninsula Hotel in New York City. The magazine is out on newsstands this week.
