Ghostlight Records will release the original cast recording of the hit new musical comedy MURDER FOR TWO in early 2014. MURDER FOR TWO, which was a hit at Second Stage Theatre Uptown before transferring to New World Stages, has already extended its run through March 16, 2014. Great performers relived their terrible performances to benefit The Performing Arts Project. On, November 3rd at Joe's Pub, Steven Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County, 'Do No Harm', 'Rescue Me') hosted an evening of fabulous performers sharing video of their most embarrassing moments onstage and then redeeming themselves by recreating that moment live on stage. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director), just launched its 'New2NY' Series with a concert presentation of the musical Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy, with Book and Lyrics by Will Holt and Tom Sawyer, Music by Will Holt, based on an original concept by Tom Sawyer. Directed by Igor Goldin, and with Music Direction by Matt Castle, the cast features Frank Anderson, Wilson Bridges, Patrick Cummings, Jessica Grove, Julia Johanos, Anne Kanengeiser, Erick Pinnick, Lauren Sterling, Debra Walton, and William Zeffiro. Last night, The New York Pops Music Director Steven Reineke and Board Member Kelli O'Hara launched the new PopsEd Ambassadors initiative, which connects The New York Pops network of talented guest artists with its transformative music education programs. PopsEd music programs provide children throughout the five boroughs of New York City with opportunities to be inspired by music and to ultimately foster a life-long appreciation for the arts. There was a British invasion last night at the Little Shubert Theatre. The hit off-Broadway show Potted Potter hosted the cast of Matilda, the tenants of the Shubert Theatre on Broadway. Just yesterday it was announced that the original Broadway cast of First Date, the critically acclaimed new romantic musical comedy starring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez, with music and lyrics by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, will be recorded. Executive produced by Altar Identity Studios, the album will be recorded and released by Yellow Sound Label, produced by Michael Croiter and Dominick Amendum and will be available through Amazon, iTunes and everywhere music is sold in the fall of 2013. The evening was hosted by Andrew Kober and Danielle Wade. Andrew Kober made his Broadway debut in the 2009 Tony Award winning revival of Hair after originating the roles of Father and Margaret Mead in the Shakespeare in the Park production. He also played the roles in the West End revival in 2010. He has also appeared on television in 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Pan Am' and 'House of Cards.'
