Annie Elias brings her years of experience in documentary theater to Cutting Ball with the World Premiere of TENDERLOIN, a piece about the people and places in Cutting Ball Theater's neighborhood. Written by Annie Elias, with theater documentarians Tristan Cunningham, Siobhan Doherty, Rebecca Frank, Michael Uy Kelly, Leigh Shaw, and David Sinaiko (with additional writing by David Westley Skillman), and directed by Elias, TENDERLOIN plays April 27 - May 27 at the Cutting Ball Theater in residence at EXIT on Taylor (277 Taylor Street) in San Francisco.

A new Chekhov-inspired play by Christopher Durang, an Edward Albee classic, and one of Shakespeare's late romances directed by Rebecca Taichman will be produced at McCarter Theatre Center during the 2012-2013 season. Two more productions will be announced at a later date.

Opening MTC's 2012 Lawler Studio Season, BOY GIRL WALL by Matthew Ryan and Lucas Stibbard is a comic romp about love, where the universe conspires to bring two lost and lonely souls together. Lucas Stibbard stars in Boy Girl Wall, a role that earned him a Helpmann Award nomination. Following three sell-out seasons in Brisbane, Boy Girl Wall opens on Wednesday 18 April 2012 at 7.30pm at the MTC Theatre, Lawler Studio and runs until the 4 May.

Three performing troupes from the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) have been selected to perform at Walt Disney World during the upcoming April school vacation week. Broadway Bound, Broadway Light and the CenterStage dance company will entertain large Disney audiences and have the opportunity to take master classes with Disney performers and directors. FSPA will feature these troupes on Saturday, April 7 in a Disney Showcase, to be performed at 7:00 p.m. at the Franklin Lodge of Elks, 1077 Pond Street. Ticket proceeds will help defray travel and workshop expenses for the Disney-bound performers.

Frog and Peach Theatre's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' will play from April 26 to May 20, 2012 at the West End Theater, 263 West 86th St. The adaptation imitates life in a celebrity couple's entourage.

The South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey, has announced its eighth season titled 'Home in Waterfront South,' featuring works written by Clifford Odets, August Wilson, Joseph M. Paprzycki and Eugene O'Neill.

The George Abbott Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Arts will be presented to commercial theater producer Jay H. Graham Linehan's hit adaptation of the classic 1955 Ealing comedy The Ladykillers, directed by Sean Foley, will embark on a 26 week tour of Ireland and the UK in 2012, beginning on 14 September at Theatre Royal Plymouth.
