A-list guests at the event included Patti LuPone (Company, Evita, Gypsy), Ben Vereen (Pippin, Fosse, Wicked), Sutton Foster (The Music Man, Anything Goes, Thoroughly Modern Millie), and freshly-minted 2022 Tony Award Nominated Actresses Shoshana Bean (Mr. Saturday Night, Wicked) Gabby Beans (Skin of Our Teeth, 'Succession,' 'House of Cards'), and Lear deBessonet (Encores! Into The Woods, Hercules, Miss You Like Hell), who will present the esteemed awards.

The Orchard is a hybrid piece of theater and can be seen in two formats: Live & In-Person at the Baryshnikov Arts Center and The Virtual Experience – Online. The limited engagement of The Orchard begins previews on May 31 with opening night set for June 16 and will run through July 3. 

Last night, Saturday, May 14th at 8pm, Felix Cavaliere (The Rascals) and Micky Dolenz (The Monkees) teamed up for a joint concert, 'The Legends Live!' Cavaliere is a member of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, Grammy Hall of Fame and Musicians Hall of Fame. He has three songs that were Number 1 hits, and many others within the top fifty. Micky Dolenz has won two Emmys. With The Monkees, he has earned four Grammy nominations and released many songs that were in the top fifty on the charts.

The 37th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway was presented on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at NYU Skirball.

Taking home top prizes were Kimberly Akimbo and Oratorio For Living Things. Special honorees this year included Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Deirdre O'Connell and Playwrights' Sidewalk Inductee, David Henry Hwang.

Due to COVID-19 cases detected in the company, ¡Americano! paused performances this week and resumed on Monday, April 18. Opening night is rescheduled to Sunday, May 1 at 7PM. The original opening night, April 21, was turned into a Special Audience Celebration and VIP Reception.

On Monday, April 4, 2022, Theatre Forward, a non-profit arts organization based in New York City, held its annual gala at the Edison Ballroom, 240 West 47th Street, New York City to honor Tony and Obie Award winning director, Kenny Leon, and global financial services provider, Prudential Financial.

The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin announced that it is bringing back live performances for the first time since the start of the pandemic. The shows will begin taping starting in April from the Broadway Makers Marketplace, the new For Broadway Fans, By Broadway Fans Pop Up Shop located in the Turnstyle Underground Market at Columbus Circle (57th & 8th Ave Subway Station).

World renowned Tenor Anthony Kearns along with accompanist David George came to The Cultural Center of Cape Cod for a weekend concert series. The program featured something for everyone- with favorite tenor songs celebrating the Irish everywhere in song with beautiful music from Ireland.

The Town Hall presented Broadway By The Year: The New Wave on Monday, March 21 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the event launched Broadway By The Year's 21st landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

Long Island's largest year-round professional theatrical venue, The Argyle Theatre, will present the Broadway hit Mamma Mia! written by Catherine Johnson with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and directed and choreographed by Antoinette DiPietropolo with musical direction by Jonathan Brenner. Mamma Mia! begins performances on March 17 in advance of its opening night on March 19 running through May 1, 2022. The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island).

¡Americano!, the new American musical based on the life of DREAMer and American hero Tony Valdovinos, stars Sean Ewing (West Side Story and Amazing Grace on Broadway; The Visitor at The Public) as Valdovinos, leading a near-entirely Latino company.
