All Roads Theatre Company (ARTCO) will present the World Premiere of the musical revue, THE MUSIC THAT MAKES ME DANCE: THE SONGS OF JULE STYNE. Created by Scott Thompson and Fred Barton, this production celebrates the legendary work of composer Jule Styne. The show features a cast of Broadway headliners, including Anneliese van der Pol, Nick Adams, Lana Gordon, Angel Reda, Rhett George, and Neil Starkenberg, accompanied by an 11-piece LIVE band! This production will run for five performances only, from May 1–3, 2026, at the iconic El Portal Theatre in old town North Hollywood.

Gino Gaudio is the great nephew of Hollywood's most famous Warner Bros. Oscar winning cinematographer, Tony Gaudio, the subject of this year's feature documentary; THE LOST LEGACY OF TONY GAUDIO. Gino produces and narrates over one hundred polific cinematography achievements.  Gino will be performing his wildly popular song set at La Puglia of Santa Monica which is a great pairing with La Puglia's (****) magnifico Southern Italian cuisine on May 17, 2026 for a private audience at 4pm.

Eileen Barnett celebrates her birthday with a one-night cabaret performance at the Catalina Jazz Club, performing songs by Sondheim, Rodgers and Hart, Randy Newman, Jerome Kern, Jacques Brel, and more. Barnett's career spans Broadway, television, and regional theatre, from starring in Tommy Tune's Tony Award-winning Nine to recent guest appearances on Hacks, Criminal Minds, and 9-1-1. She is joined by musical director Michael Collum, a Los Angeles-based pianist who received the 2025 Broadway World Cabaret Award for Music Direction, and director Kirsten Chandler.

Pow Thrust! Bam!! The is the best polished musical theater production currently on the boards in LA!  Musical Theater god, James Lent, took a four piece hugely talented band with only a five piece orchestrations to sound magically like a full orchestra bringing a solid punch to every number!  Creatively choreographed geometrically with no square inch left unused across the forced proscenium! Lighting truss to create a center curtain egress but double as an elevator was sheer innovation worthy of an Ovation itself! Mics were too hot for the softer songs and the pulled ANNIE OAKLEY costumes looked a little pulled in the dramatic moody lighting of the Fandango taxi dance nightclub. Live performances have been trending upwards in public spaces such as Los Angeles Farmers Markets, Chicago community bandstands, NY parks & recreation and even Dallas airport concourses are discovering authentic music crowds. The Noah Todd Band is an excellent example of high quality performers who just want to make more music but be heard by the masses. 

Recently, Michael’s production of the new play, Incitation of the Dance, opened at Theatre West. Its title Inspired by Gene Kelly's 1956 film; Invitation to the Dance, this dark comedy explores the complexities of older gay relationships—described by one critic as a 'gay gray play.' The production runs from February 27 to March 15. $10 off for tix bought in advance online.   It will be followed by a two-night engagement of My Uterus: A Womb with a View, written and performed by DINA MORRONE.  On  Mother's Day there will be a Theatre West cabaret concert of 30 years of Broadway hit show tunes for moms, dads, sibs and caretakers.  

As a versatile performer, Dr. Lent frequently appears at prominent Southern California venues such as the Beverly Hills Hilton, House of Blues, LA Live, and the Ritz-Carlton. His extensive theater credits include performances in productions of Cabaret, Chicago, Chess, A Chorus Line, and Oklahoma. As a music director, his work spans productions such as Spamilton, Grease, West Side Story, and Rent.
