The Denham Committee, comprised of board members Edie Cowan, Tisa Chang, Paul Lazarus, Sharon Ott and Mary Robinson, decided to name director Jessi D. Hill as the second Denham Fellow and award her $3,000 in support of her production of Angel Eaters at Flux Theatre Ensemble in New York, New York.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue its 10th Anniversary season with Hairspray film star NIKKI BLONSKY from September 23 to October 4. The Long Island native returns to her home city for her nightclub debut 'Coming Home,' which features songs from Broadway, the Great American Songbook and pop classics. Highlights will include the Bonnie Raitt favorite 'Something To Talk About,' the Frank Wildhorn hit 'Big Time' and selections from Hairspray. Musical Director Patti Dunham will conduct the band. Nikki will be dressed by IGIGI. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on September 5 for THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD NOT TAKEN, a one-night-only, all-star benefit performance featuring scenes and songs from the original drafts of WICKED. Directed by Matt Lenz, the benefit will take place on Monday, October 27 at 7:30pm at the Gershwin Theatre (222 West 51st Street). The evening's proceeds will be donated to the New York Restoration Project. Celebrity casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

ACT Launches Special Dance Project, 'Project Orpheus' Beginning 9/13

ACT's Central Heating Lab continues its innovative collaborative initiative by supporting Seattle Dance Project in Project Orpheus running September 13 through October 4, 2008. Designed as a companion piece to ACT's mainstage production of Eurydice, Project Orpheus marries the three distinct artistic styles of renowned local choreographers Wade Madsen, Eva Stone and Olivier Wevers into one seamless narrative. Together, with lighting/technical director Peter Bracillano and music director Dave Abramson, Seattle Dance Project creates a modern, moody interpretation of the tragic Greek myth that uses dance to explore the physicality of love, jealousy, compassion and grief.
