Intiman Theatre Presents 'All The King's Men' Starting 9/26September 9, 2008Intiman Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Bartlett Sher and Interim Managing Director Kevin Maifeld, concludes it inaugural American Cycle series with Adrian Hall's adaptation of one of the greatest political novels ever written, Robert Penn Warren's All the King's Men. The production is directed by Pam MacKinnon and stars John Procaccino (leading an ensemble of 18 actors) as Willie Stark. Performances will begin at the Intiman Playhouse, 201 Mercer Street at Seattle Center, on Friday, September 26 and continue through Saturday, November 8. The opening night performance is Friday, October 3 at 8 pm.

Blue Man Group to be Made Into Feature Film?September 9, 2008Variety is reporting that Blue Man Group has signed a contract with producer Charlotte Huggins to star in a film that will be released in Imax 3-D.
The original Blue Man stage trio of Matt Goldman, Chris Wink and Phil Stanton =will be featured in the film which set to start shooting in June of 2009 and aiming for a release of June 2010.
Variety reports that the movie will apparently not be the same as the original production (which currently plays in over a dozen cities worldwide). The movie will have different structure and new material specifically geared toward 3-D performance.
Matt Goldman said, ' 'It's going to have a story, believe it or not. It's going to have real science content, and we're excited about being in the neuroscience space.'
'We had a lot of ideas of things coming at you, splashing of paint, explosions of color,' he added. 'It's a complete mesh of everything that we love.'

Stuhlbarg and Kind Confirmed for Coen Bro's 'A Serious Man'September 8, 2008 Production begins today on location in Minnesota on A Serious Man, for Focus Features and Working Title Films. Joel and Ethan Coen, Academy Award winners for No Country for Old Men and Fargo, are writing, producing, and directing the film. Working Title co-chairs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner are executive-producing the film with Robert Graf, who has worked on the Coens' last six features in various producing capacities.
Keen Company Presents Limited Engagement of 'The Fourposter' at The ClurmanSeptember 8, 2008Keen Company (Artistic Director Carl Forsman, Producer Wayne Kelton) will kick off its 2008-2009 season with a revival of the 1952 Tony Award-winning comedy The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog, directed by Blake Lawrence.
