Erik-Kristian Husted

Erik-Kristian Husted I was born, raised and educated in the Philippines. I am part Filipino/Spanish and Danish. I moved here in 2008, and have worked as a nurse at Bispebjerg Hospital since then. Aside from the theater, my interests/hobbies range from singing freelance, films and series, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

My main area of expertise in theater is musical theater.
In full productions in the Philippines, the roles i have played that have a great significance to me are the Phantom from the Phantom of the Opera, and Jean Valjean from Les' Miserables. Other roles include the Narrator from Into The Woods (directorial debut), and Gaston from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. I have sung in 2 theater concerts, singing songs from Phantom of the opera, Les' Miserables, Chess, Miss Saigon, The Producers, and Fiddler on the Roof; I directed one of them as well. I've also been vocal coach on Les' Miserables, and have been a school choirmaster for 3 years.

When i moved to Denmark, i got involved with Gorgerne when they put up Spamalot at Gladsaxe Teater. I played Sir Lancelot plus other noteable roles, in tradition of the Monty Python style. Afterwards, i played an Apostle in their production of Jesus Christ Superstar in Concert in Tivoli’s Koncertsal.

I also perform for occasions such as birthdays, christmas events, usually singing songs from the Blues Brothers or from Andrew Lloyd Webber.

After a 6 year hiatus, i finally auditioned for the Copenhagen Theatre Circle (CTC), and have been with them since the summer of 2016, starting out as George in Christopher Durangs, "The Actor's Nightmare". Two friends and i put up a mini musical, Lovesick (a spoof of Sweeney Todd), in CTC's Fringe Festival of 2017. My directorial debut in the CTC, started with a theater concert in Spetember 2017, called "The First", featuring showstopper songs that had a theme of "firsts". I have recently played the pantomime Dame, Queen Dotty, in CTC's January 2018 British pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.
