Sergio Trujillo, the acclaimed choreographer of Jersey Boys, Next to Normal and the forthcoming musicals The Addams Family and Memphis, will make his directorial debut with Havana, a new musical (not based on the film of the same name) with a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning Cuban author Nilo Cruz, music by internationally-renowned Frank Wildhorn and lyrics by Jack Murphy. Produced by Kathleen Raitt, William Franzblau/Jay Harris, Ben Sprecher/Louise Forlenza and Steven E. Leber/Jordan Leber, Havana, which is aiming for the 2010-11 Broadway season, will have a private industry presentation this week in New York.

9 To 5: The Musical will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, September 6, 2009, following 24 previews and 148 performances. 9 To 5: The Musical opened at the Marriott Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway) on April 30, 2009 starring four-time Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Broadway veteran Obba Babatundé is set to star as Sammy Davis, Jr. in the world premiere of Sammy, Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto announced today. The First Wives Club - A New Musical will extend its run by an additional week due to popular demand. The Boston engagement of JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, is playing at the Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, September 26.
