Tickets for the upcoming Broadway return of Tony Award® nominated hit musical IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS will go on sale via phone and internet this Saturday, September 12, 2009.

The Broadway production of JERSEY BOYS recently celebrated 1,500 performances at the August WilsonTheatre. The Los Angeles Times reports that the Orange County school district where varsity athletes threatened to rape and kill the female lead actress of a student production of the musical RENT has now agreed to provide harassment and discrimination prevention training to all Corona del Mar High School students, teachers and administrators and other district officials, according to a legal settlement announced this morning. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District will also apologize to the former student.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin previews Saturday, September 12 for the first production of the 2009-2010 Season, OTHELLO, directed by Peter Sellars. This highly-anticipated contemporary production, featuring John Ortiz as Othello and Philip Seymour Hoffman as Iago, will play for 23 performances only at NYU Skirball Center. On Friday, September 18, 2009, Kerry Butler as 'Sherrie' and Tom Lenk as 'Franz' will begin performances in the five-time Tony nominated hit musical, ROCK OF AGES at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) for a six month engagement.

Cirque du Soleil and MSG Entertainment have unveiled the brand new theatrical production, Banana Shpeel, at The Chicago Theatre. The show will perform for the first time ever at the theatre for a limited engagement from November 19, 2009 through January 3, 2010. Following Chicago, the show will premiere in New York at The Beacon Theatre in February 2010.
