MEMPHIS, an original Broadway musical, opens tonight, Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Shubert Theatre (225 W. 44th Street) following critically-acclaimed and sold-out engagements at La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, began previews Wednesday, September 23, 2009.

Variety reports that ROCK OF AGES will launch a sit-down production in Toronto next year. The production will open May at the city's Royal Alexandra Theater.

Odyssey Theatre's production of Adam Bock's The Receptionist, starring Emmy-winning actress and singer Megan Mullally, has announced an extension of its run. The production, which began previews August 5 and officially opened August 15, was originally scheduled to close September 20. The show will now close November 21.
