Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's new play 'Love, Loss, and What I Wore' will be given six benefit readings on Monday evenings, the event began on February 2nd. The play, directed by Karen Carpenter, is about clothes and the memories they trigger. Blythe Danner, Christine Baranski, Julie White, Parker Posey,Alia Shawkat have just been announced for the March 2nd reading.

Actors' Equity held a hearing today February 26th regarding the grievance filed against the actor Jeremy Piven by the producers of the Broadway play 'Speed-the-Plow'.

Actors' Equity Association could not reach a ruling today in the hearing involving Jeremy Piven, so now both sides will be headed to arbitration reports gossip site TMZ.com.

Friends In Deed has announced that famed author Fran Lebowitz has joined the upcoming One Night Only staged reading benefit of the infamous Broadway-play-that-wasn't, LEGENDS!. She will take the stage with fellow legends Charles Busch, Whoopi Goldberg and Lypsinka in the first-ever New York presentation of the play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), which will be presented on Monday evening, March 23 at 8PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street).

Bloomberg News reports that in December 2005, New York City Center theater set up planning a roughly $300 million renovation project, after soliciting ideas from the Paul Taylor Dance Foundation and other resident companies. 'They said, ?dream out loud,' and we did,' said John Tomlinson, general manager of Paul Taylor. City Center says the top-to-bottom makeover eventually will proceed, even though six members of its 32-person board of directors invested with Bernard L. Madoff, who is alleged to have run a $50 billion Ponzi scheme. The six donated at least $260,000 to City Center last year, according to a program of the musical revival series 'Encores!'

The New York City Gay Men's Chorus (NYCGMC) held their 2009 benefit gala, 'Laugh Out Loud,' on Tuesday, February 24th at the Westside Loft in Manhattan. The gala was a night celebrating music, comedy, diversity and support for the LGBT community.
