Eddie Varley Eddie Varley was most recently seen as one of the stars of the Lifetime Television Series, MATCHED IN MANHATTAN.

On the New York stage he was a cast member of the long running hit musical revue INTO THE WEEDS: The Bill Weeden Songbook at the Laurie Beechman Theater. Eddie received critical acclaim for his role of Jameson in the New York and Los Angeles Productions of Joe Mortimer's GRAPEFRUIT. As a cast member of the New Vic Theatre of London, he toured both the UK and US in their productions of DRACULA, HUNCHBACK and THE CANTERBURY TALES. He spent several Holiday seasons at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino's Showroom Theater headlining with performers such as the legendary Mickey Rooney, Andrea McArdle and John Byner. An accomplished illustrator, his work can be found in the recent McGraw Hill release, WHY HASN'T HE CALLED?

'The Battery's Down,' the hit online television series, will return for a second season on Wednesday, April 1, on YouTube featuring a slew of Broadway guest stars. Filmed in a style similar to 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' or 'The Office,' 'The Battery's Down' chronicles the life of young actor Jake Wilson in New York City. Each twenty-minute, two-part episode will premiere at 12:01AM the first of every month.

'We at the Drama Book Shop feel most fortunate that the recession has not affected us as severely as it has so many other businesses. The shop has been quite busy, our staff has been fielding as many questions as ever, sales (especially plays) have been acceptable, and our new 'Acting Edition Club' has far exceeded expectations. Never-the-less, to be extra cautious, we think its best to return to something like our old business hours--at least until the economy begins to look more favorable'.
