First it was on, 5 weeks later it was off again. And now, Stage Entertainment announced that the Dutch version of LOVE STORY will tour the country from October 2013.

The Dutch production of SHREK, currently playing the RAI Theatre in Amsterdam, will move to the Stadsschouwburg Antwerp in Belgium for a limited four-week run. Afterwards, the production will return to Amsterdam.

NEW Productions, the company behind the immensely successful 'SOLDAAT VAN ORANJE', has announced its upcoming project, a musical about the Dutch origins of the city of New York. It will be based on the book 'The Island at the Center of the World' by American author and historian Russell Shorto.

In recent months, one incident quickly followed another at the Dutch branch of Stage Entertainment: a string of shows was announced and cancelled again, the managing director was replaced twice, and details about the company's internal problems appeared in the press. Only 5 weeks after it was announced, the Dutch version of LOVE STORY has been cancelled. The auditions, which were in full swing, have been halted. LOVE STORY was slated to play the Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht. Instead of LOVE STORY, the current occupant of the theatre, Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID has been extended.

Opening today, October 7th in Amsterdam, the first Dutch production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's ASPECTS OF LOVE has released a promo for national TV.

The Dutch production of WICKED, currently playing the Circustheater in Schevening, will close January 11, 2013 after about 400 performances.

The 10th Anniversary World Arena tour of WE WILL ROCK YOU, the Queen and Ben Elton musical, will visit the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam from 9 to 12 April 2013.

The upcoming UK tour of CATS will also play the Kursaal in Oostende, Belgium, from July 30th to August 18th 2013.
