BWW Recap: Multiple Monsters Make Mayhem on SONS OF ANARCHYSeptember 24, 2014Episode three opened on a lighthearted note. The SAMCRO boys had taken a break from running amok around Charming, to sit in on the filming of Red Woody's first porn film, 'Skankenstein.' From the bit we got to see, it seemed like a sci-fi, lesbian romp, and our favorite gang club members were having a wonderful time. However, the glee stopped there
BWW Recap: Mayberry Goes Rogue on SONS OF ANARCHYSeptember 17, 2014In the second episode of the final season of SONS OF ANARCHY, Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) systematic proposal for retaliation continued. In the season premiere, Gemma (Katey Sagal) accused an innocent member of the Chinese Triad of Tara's murder, and because we can only assume Jax lost his sense of reality when his wife was killed, he immediately believed her, and vowed revenge against the Chinese.
BWW Recap: SONS OF ANARCHY Turns a Porn Party into an AssassinationSeptember 10, 2014In the weeks leading up to the season premiere of FX's SONS OF ANARCHY, there was much talk about how gruesome and shocking the first few minutes of the show would be. Viewer discretion would be highly advised. Thinking back to many past episodes, this advisory seemed wise.
The show started with a series of “Last season on SOA” clips to get you both excited for what was to come and angry about what had already occurred. Creator Kurt Sutter is known for toying with our emotions this way. The scenes transitioned to one of Jax (Charlie Hunnam) in prison, beating the hell out of some guy. I watched the premiere with a friend who was new to SOA. He asked who Jax's victim was and though I squinted my eyes to 20/20 vision, I couldn't tell who he was through all the blood, sweat and tears.
BWW Preview: GREY'S ANATOMY Opens New Doors, After Disappointing GoodbyesSeptember 18, 2014Those familiar with the busy halls of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital know that this is a place where bad things happen fairly often. People stroke out after getting new hearts, they shove their hands into body cavities to stop bombs, they get hit by buses, they get held hostage, they're electrocuted; and then there are the actual medical issues that destroy your emotional stability and make you very wary of Web MD.
BWW Preview: SONS OF ANARCHY; Motorcycle Gang HAMLETSeptember 8, 2014Hopefully if you're joining me for the final season of FX's hit series “SONS OF ANARCHY,” you've already gone through the first six seasons of family feuds, friendly (and not-so-friendly) fire, guns, drugs, murder and betrayal. This is not a show you should leap into mid-season. It is a finely crafted, leather clad, loosely Shakespearean tale that uses six seasons to show the evolution of the inhabitants of a small town named Charming, and its tormented leader, Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam).
BWW Reviews: Intriguing INVENTING VAN GOGH at Jobsite TheaterJuly 14, 2014Patrick Stone is a Van Gogh-hating painter suffering from artist's block. He is approached by an unscrupulous art dealer who convinces him into attempting to produce a forgery of Van Gogh's last work - which may or may not actually exist.
