Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down, The Cocktail Cabaret delighted audiences as a way to begin a night of fun and entertainment. The critically acclaimed show toured Florida in 2020, performed virtually, and will now return with two performances at the Italian American Club of Southern Nevada on Sunday, March 7.

Former Broadway star and Las Vegas performer, composer, and arranger Jimmy Lockett enjoyed his time performing and entertaining audiences. While his career thrived, Jimmy has always followed another one of his dreams. He has been a martial arts devotee (now a 7th-degree black belt) since he was a child and has provided free martial arts instruction to underprivileged families in North Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Dam Short Film Society is going virtual with over 160 short films, live stream events, and Q&As with the filmmakers. There will be scheduled virtual events allowing audiences and filmmakers to learn about these original and unique stories from around the world. The 17th Annual Dam Short Film Festival is available digitally from Feb. 11-15.

Acclaimed jazz chanteuse Amanda King will bring her swinging signature touch to Christmas classics and hidden gems celebrating the holidays. Time to get into the spirit when she performs A Very Happy Merry Holiday with Amanda King and Friends at The Space and Streaming Live via Broadway World on Dec. 18.

This magical time is back with The Vegas Room. The intimate supper club is now celebrating A Vegas Room Christmas, complete with a delicious six-course holiday meal (with a vegan option). Along with a handcrafted dining experience (including the dessert “Let It Snow”), the complimentary entertainment celebrates the classic holiday movie, White Christmas, and the music of Irving Berlin (over two dozen songs). The holiday season is here, and it’s time to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas. Sally Olson as Karen Carpenter and Ned Mills as Richard Carpenter star in Carpenters Tribute Concert: A Christmas Portrait for one night recreating the nostalgia of the Carpenters’ 1977 and 1978 Christmas television specials. Limited seating is available at The Space LV with live streaming via Broadway On Demand on Nov. 28.

Broadway might be closed until 2021, but award-winning Broadway and Las Vegas entertainer Travis Cloer will celebrate songs from his album Broadway & More with Christopher Lash on the piano with his show of the same name at The Vegas Room Nov. 27-28.

The Composers Showcase has joined forces with WE/EC (stage technicians and backstage workers) and will present the first live showcase since March when The Smith Center was closed due to the pandemic. The Composers Showcase will kick off On With the Show! a 4-night live-streamathon on YouTube and Twitch beginning in the evening on Oct. 23 and continuing in the evenings Oct. 24-26.

The attraction Cineloggia Boutique Museum celebrates all things horror and has opened in Commercial Center in the New Orleans Square. Guests can take photos with rare collections and memorabilia of their favorite scary films and shows.

While some might say this year has been scary, the month of October embraces horror, creepy, chilling, terrifying, and intimidating. Welcome to Trapped, the haunted drive-in experience presented by Hallowheels at The Industrial Event Space on selected dates through Oct. 31.

As a versatile pianist, Philip Fortenberry encompasses a wide range of musical genres during his equally expansive career.  By popular demand, Philip will be performing his encore presentation, 55 Years On The Bench, with two live stream concerts, Oct. 11 and Oct. 15, 5:00 p.m. PST. 

Following on the heels of their first virtual success, Las Vegas' own homegrown Shakespeare group, Bard at the Bar, will be presenting the melancholy Dane in Hamlet online on Facebook Live on Sept. 13.

Jeravae International, started by Jeravae Christensen five years ago, focuses on the changing needs dancers have and offers a full line of practice wear and dance accessories as well as athletic wear, dancewear, makeup, and shoes. Jeravae International relocated to Kansas City, Missouri with auxiliary staff in Las Vegas and New York City.

Steve Platt of Lake Forest, California, who owns multiple Arthur Murray Dance Studios, rallied several other Arthur Murray Dance Studios throughout California and Arizona to hold Throwback Thursday, a virtual competition.
