ESPN to Carry Kontinental Hockey League Games

ESPN today officially announced that it will deliver a minimum of seven games from 2012-13 season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) exclusively on ESPN3 in the US and on ESPN UK. Coverage begins Tuesday, October 9 at 1 p.m. ET with ESPN SportsCenter anchor Steve Levy and NHL studio analyst Barry Melrose calling the Lev vs. Dynamo Moscow game live on ESPN2 and ESPN3. The game will re-air in primetime on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. ET and will air on delay on ESPN in the UK (Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. BST).

ESPN To Launch New Series ALL-ACCESS KENTUCKY, 10/17
October 5, 2012

ESPN will premiere a new sports series this fall focusing on the University of Kentucky men's basketball team. ALL-ACCESS KENTUCKY debuts this month and will follow Coach John Calipari and his staff as they guide the new faces of the defending national champion Wildcats from Big Blue Madness to the start of the 2012 season. The multi-part series will consist of 30-minute weekly shows airing on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET with the first three episodes scheduled for October 17, 24 and 31.

Birnbaum will remain in his current offices in MGM's executive suite and will produce and develop new projects exclusively for the company. The announcement marks a return to hands-on producing for Birnbaum.
