SHE KILLS MONSTERS may not make your top ten list for most heartfelt play of the year, but it will definitely make you laugh. And we all need to laugh more.

Kimberly Faith Hickman is the Artistic Director of the Omaha Community Playhouse, which has a long and impressive history dating back to the 1920s. The Playhouse is not only a community theatre, it is the originator of the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, a professional touring company most well known for its fabulous productions of the Christmas classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Leslie Odom, Jr. opened the Lied Center for Performing Arts' 29th Season in a spectacular way. Combining charm, humor, and an incomparable musical ability, Odom, Jr. brought the full house to its feet not once, but twice.

DROWSY CHAPERONE is clever, albeit not a never-done-before mashup. It is a musical within a comedy complete with colorful characters, catchy music, and a cast of toe tapping extras. If you want to be entertained, this is for you. It is one hour and forty minutes of just plain fun!

The Rose Theater winds up summer with its initial offering for the 2018-2019 season: JUDY MOODY & STINK: THE MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD TREASURE HUNT.
